Dan Rafael "Devon Alexander Has Mayweather-type Potential"

He said it in a recent chat.

I can't say I see it, he's not as dominant as a 130 lb. Mayweather. The kid has talent, good mentality, and great work ethic, which is what you need to go far, but he just hasn't impressed me enough to say that he'll be able to climb up a few weight divisions and still be elite.

WTF is Dan Rafael smokin' ? I just saw Devon Alexander live last year. He's good, but he's nowhere near Flower girl's skills and talent !! ****, he ain't even on Tim Bradley's level !!

It is true. I pick Alexander to upset Bradley if that fight happens.

Haven't seen too much Alexander...lets wait until he beats someone who isn't past prime or mediocre at best...

Devon is a beast & Cunningham is by far the most underrated trainer in the game. All his guys have a high skill level. Still, IDK about this Mayweather stuff. The best thing though is that he's what, 22? and he'll fight anyone even right now. Thats throwback type ****. If he beats Bradley next then sky's the limit and he will always pack the house in STL

He is very talented but he has a ways to go and a lot to prove before he should be mentioned with Mayweather.

But i do agree that he has that sort of potential. I have been unimpressed by Alexander but at other times ive been very very impressed. So we will see.

Being with DON KING is killing his career tho

People forget that Mayweather is the closest thing to a "Prodigy" we have in boxing. There are some decent cats that are good in a few areas but none with the all around caliber of Mayweather.

Bradley's too versatile, I don't see Alexander being able to keep up with whatever Tim chose to do.

And I don't see Alexander being able to be elite while rising in weight either.
