Conclusion: the boxrec computer rating system is pretty damn accurate.

Mayweather has fought better opposition. Even though Tzyu was undisputed champion in the division until he vacated the belts. Boxrec is flawed in that is does not take into account how fights are won, they dont factor in if a win is by first round KO or gift SD. But I will take these rankings over some of the ridiculous rankings of some sancctioning bodies. (Mayweather has 2 controversial descison wins of Jose Luis Castillo)

Can somebody please explain to me how Cosme Rivera was ranked #1 by the IBF, that guy sucks he has losses and recent losses to guys with loosing records. He was ranked #1 by the IBF and the IBF has David Estrada at #2 contender despite the fact he lost to shane Moely in his last fight. Rivera is ranked #10 by the WBC and not even in the top 15 by *********. The IBF might even have David Estrada as number #1 contender now since Rivera lost. Totally ridiculous rankings.

Calphony has been ducking fighters for years. The sad thing is that he has decent skills but hasn't had the heart or desire to test his skills against the best in his division or moving up a weight class. It seems he's content with being a big fish in a small pond. I think Lacy is gonna KO him & viciously too.

according to boxrec he has. I will dig the file up and we will compare and contrast. Even though I agree Tzyu is #1 Light welterweight until somebody beats him. And like I said the boxrec rating system is flawed in that does not take into account how a fight is won. They count it the same whether it is a gift split descison win or first round KO.

Its pretty even to me, Maybe Tzyu has a slight edge but is very close. Mayweather gets a ****load of points from boxrec from beating Castillo and Corrales, and his wins over Castillo were very controversial.

I dont see what the problem is, i'm pretty sure Calzaghe would fight any super middle/ligh heavy/middle weight in the world and the only reason he hasnt fought guys like Hopkins, Tarver, Johnson, Jones is because they have either asked for far too much money or pulled out when the deal has been agreed.

The only reason he refused to fight Lacy because it was a no win situation, even if he had of won by 1st round KO people would just say he was a over hype 15-0 prospect.

Now Lacys got a lot more fans and respect Calzaghe has a lot more reason to fight him.

I think Lacy has the balls to fight Calzaghe(unlike the others) so i think now this fight will happen providing Lacy wins his next fight without any problems.

Rubin Williams would beat Calzaghe....and he was Lacy's last victim who was getting cute.

Rubin Williams was very impessive in his fight against Lacy. I started out rooting for Lacy, but Williams counterpunching skills and defence were f***ing amazing. I hope that guys fights on TV again and does not fade into Bolivia. It was brilliant the way he was countering from Lacy's barrages against hte ropes. Plus he ate up alot of punishment and kept on fighting. He could of finished the fight but the ref called a totally premature stoppage in that one.
