mosley is a bigger name than clottey... 50/50 or the fight never happens (which is what floyd wanted in the first place, an excuse to duck pac)

When they originally started negotiations for the fight Bob Arum said the same thing because of the Cotto-Pac fight doing better then May-Marquez.

mosley is a high profile boxer. clottey is not. obviously floyd/mosley will do better ppvs.

Floyd was willing to accept a 50-50 split when everyone thought he would demand much more. He was also willing to meet Pacquiao halfway with a 14-day cutoff for the blood testing. As Dcopo says he even agreed to the ridiculous $10 million weight penalty.

Pac Man on the other hand wasn't willing to make one simple concession.

So I'm glad that Floyd is playing hardball with him now.

Clottey is way more obscure than Marquez. Mosley is on par with Cotto in terms of name recognition, but not fanbase.

why would anyone think floyd is a top seller, hell it seems like everyone just started watching boxing. back then floyd used to be a top rank fighter and he had very low ratings on hbo. it wasnt until he fought oscar when he got a bunch of ratings, then hatton, then marquez. so it wasnt all floyd, when its all floyd, you put floyd with guys like nate campbell and put pacquiao vs clottey and its an even fight. then floyd is talking about getting a lot of ratings on this fight, well dont include the mexican fighters and see how many ratings he gets. nobody wants to see 2 fighters running around all night. if it wasnt for mosleys style both of them wouldnt even get their own family to watch.
