  • Pacquiao can forget 50-50 if Shane vs Floyd does better than the Cotto fight that's my opinion. Fighting Clottey is a serious disadvantage in terms of PPV numbers. IMO Floyd VS Clottey wouldn't do 1 million either. Floyd 55% Manny 45% would be fair. This fight NEEDS to happen, 2 p4p kings suck, especially since they're in the same ****in weightclass.

That being said, what IF Pac vs. Clottey did sell more PPV over FMJ vs Mosely (I said IF)? He would look pretty dumb coming in to negotiations for Pac asking for a 50-50 split, right?
I do find it interesting that the ink is barely dry on his current contract with SSM and he seems more interested in demands for future negotiations with Pac.
All in all though, FMJ probably will have higher PPV sales because more people will pay in hopes to see Floyd lose than will pay to see Pac beat Clottey.

So Manny can make a champion defend his title at a catch-wt but Floyd cant help bring random testing to boxing? Wow this is a phucked up world we live in. So Floyd's having far better PPV numbers than Manny when it comes to common opponents means nothing? If I were Floyd I would be cool with my position cause people wanted to see Ali, Leonard and Tyson lose also but long as it puts asses in the seats why be concerned with ******ed concepts.

mayweather fights a junior welterweight , hatton, at 147 with a pathetic excuse for a ref with 3 judges from nevada.

Hatton fought Collazo at 147. He had been at that weight before. Not on that but, Hatton wanted to fight for Floyd's title at 147, him and his trainer, Graham. When Floyd was at 140, Hatton's team stated they were NOT ready. So don't blame Floyd for STAYING at his division DEFENDING his title, because his opponent wanted to defeat him at that weight for HIS title. Get over it, Hatton didn't lose on the scorecards, he got his tail stopped. End Of.

mayweather fights JMM at 147 even tho he agreed to 144. as if picking on an already blown up lightweight wasnt enough?!!!

He should have made the contracted weight. He didnt, let it go.

pac fights JMM at JMM best weight, and i thought JMM won the second fight at least.

of course, they were in the same weight class. Many believe that JMM won both fights.

pac fights hatton at hattons best weight. and then he fights cotto who maywether would not dream of fighting because "he lives in puerto rico"

Now, I'm going to call you out on your hypocrisy. Prior to fighting Hatton, how many fights with Manny have at 140?? Zero! So why didn't Hatton fight Manny at his best weight? Why didn't Hatton fight Manny at 126, 130, or heck even 135?? Why did Hatton make Pac come up to 140 to fight him? I'll tell you why, because that is what happens when you are the CHAMP. If your opponent is smaller and challenges you, then you make him come to your weight class (if you both are NOT in the same weight class of course)..

so dont talk **** about avoiding. mayweather is the biggest ducker in the sport and everybody knows this.
          bolded for you

          • It's a shame, as from what I remeber Pac v Cotto did more than FMJ v JMM, but Manny was still ok with 50-50.

The future is random blood testing because we dont wanna teach our children to get ahead by any means we wanna teach them about hard work and fair play at least I do. As for Cotto where were you when Floyd called him out twice? Once when Cotto was ringside at the Bruceles fight. Now I have another question, why do you support a fighter that refuses to come clean?
are you still here? this is the last time im gonna tell you. its understandable that maywether fans dont wanna look at his last few opponents. yeah he beat hatton who was undefeated. is he a welterweight? didnt think so. yeah he beat marquez, who by the way, was not undefeated and a LIGHTWEIGHT champ. thats some serious avoiding right there. instead of a welterweight, mayweather had to pick the lightweight champ.

IM NOT A PAC FAN - that clear enough for you?

did he fight cotto? no. because "he lives in puerto rico" was floyds exact comment on that fight.

and what do you mean refuses to come clean? because pac didnt accept floyds testing? so on that basis every single fighter in the sport must not be clean then right? pac is a fighter that refuses to bow down to a man with the ego the size of the solar system. pac is number 1, not mayweather. so if anybody has a right to call the shots, its pac.

                • I think Floyd should just stick to his final offer, 50/50 and blood testing 14 days before the fight, that is as fair as it gets IMO and means that Floyd has offered to meet in the middle.

But, we've hear this before... Floyd saying he wants the lions share and saying he wants it until the day before the fight and he budged in the end... maybe after negotiating they can come to some sort of agreement, which I think Floyd initial offer is what they should agree on.

I don't wanna go into all of this stuff on comparing PPV #'s, we've all been there and it gets old and boring... I think it should just be 50/50 because the fight is wanted so much by the public because of both fighters and not just one, and I think a 14 day proposal is fair for blood testing.

Anyway, Floyd has to get through Mosley and Manny has to get through Clottey first... which are good fighters in there own right, even though I am confident that both Manny and Floyd can win.

Corrales was hyped up? I picked Corrales over Floyd. Castillo was hyped up? So Cotto was ready to fight a common opponent in Corley but not ready for Floyd coming up from 135? Judah threw the foul shot because he was about to get stopped. Gatti was looking great under Buddy McGirt and winning. When your on top you dont fight when contenders say so you call the shots and I would choose Oscar and Hatton over Cotto at that point any day.

                    • Based on Mayweather being a champ if they fight now I agree. Shane is the recognized champ in the division, Berto is the lucky guy in this equation.
