i wish they could sort this Katsidis **** out. How long has he been waiting for the confirmation of his status? I think Marquez choosing to change weight more regularly now means he should have his titles taken and Katsidis made full champ. Katsidis is possibly the most honest fighters in the sport and never backs down to anything but the organization seems to be making it very difficult for him to move forward.Comment

I like Mitchell (I bet on him to beat Prescott); that said, how did you get to the conclusion that he has a an iron chin?
It'll come down to skill and styles more than anything, if the fight is fought at a distance, Mitchell will win. If the fight is fought mostly on the inside, Katsidis will win.
Katsidis' game plan is totally different from when he fought Diaz. He now sticks to a suffocating pressure style, where he bullies on the inside. Mitchell is pretty slick and has good foot movement, but it'll be tough for him to fight exactly where Katsidis wants it.
I bet on him to win too, Prescott's KO versus Khan was a fluke. Prescott was over-hyped and I saw Mitchell at SFW and when I heard he was fighting Prescott I thought he'd win easy.

Mitchell Katsidis will be a great fight a tough fight and could be a close one. The last two British fighters to fight for a title had two pretty bland fights Haye Valuev and Khan Kotelnik. Mitchell Katsidis will be a very tough competative fight where the real winners will be the fans. Warren has a history of protecting his fighters but Mitchell is pretty tough and does not need protecting so I hope Frank lines Kevin up for the title shot because he is ready now. Jimmy and Mark Tibbs have done a great job with him and he is much sharper and his defense has improved.Comment

I hope Warren is serious about this. Its time for Mitchell to step up and Katsidis is probably the most winnable big name title fight considering there are guys like Valero and Funeka in the division.Comment

Prescott was overhyped after the Khan victory, but you have to remember that Mitchell is a small lightweight, and Prescott is a very big lightweight. Kevin made it look easy after the first few rounds, and even had Prescott on shaky legs on a couple of occassions. Not many boxers can get past their opponents huge height and reach advantages. Plus Prescott is better than given credit for. He isn't great, but he is a decent contender capable of giving a lot of lightweights a hard fight.
Mitchell is a brawler turned boxer. If Katsidis thinks he can bully Mitchell he has another thing coming. If needs be, Mitchell can thud hard to the body on the inside, and exchange devastating blows. In my opinion, Mitchell has a better chin than Katsidis and punches harder. If Katsidis tries to swarm Mitchell, and not use his brain, and not fight effectively, then he will be ko'd early. As was seen today, Mitchell can seem to be on the back foot but then throw a knockout blow from knowhere.
Mitchell is the real deal. I may be wrong but I think he is a class above Katsidis. The Australian can only fight with one style, the Brit has two at his disposal.Comment
