the way i see it we should give him props for giving it a try, all the guys in the super six deserve props for stepping up to the plate and agreeing to a multi fight deal like this.

especially a guy like dirrell who has so much to lose this early in his career. i hope after watching the tape knowing he wouldve won had he pushed the pace more, he will learn from his mistake.

if not he gets knocked out, and maybe eighter way. i just hope he keeps learning from this whole experience bcuz he has the tools to be a great fighter in the future.
I agree with the highlighted. Something about him just strikes me as not really having it upstairs. He could end up being another Judah - a guy with a ton of talent but just never had it mentally. He's still young of course and the Abraham fight will be a big test so I don't want to speculate too much but we'll see.

Direll seems to be a nervous guy outside and especially inside the ring. Abraham is the opposite of that and thats a big factor. Direll needs to get cooler and calmer, he could be verry successfull then. But against Abraham he will be nervous cause he has to win it or hes out. Abraham has nothing to worry cause he has already 3 points for the Taylor KO.

I thought he did very well in the championship rounds vs. Froch. Great handspeed. I think that switching up to southpaw stuff should stop. As far as calmness, meh, was that his first fight out of the U.S.? If it was, then I can give him a slight pass, bieng it his first big bout on foreign turf.

i agree. he needs to stop switching. against froch he was decidedly more effective fighting orthodox. he could win a fight on his left jab alone. when he switches southpaw he turns into a mediocre counter puncher who dives in missing wild lefts.

Direll is going into his fight with AA already scared. He goin' nite nite. AA is going to catch him and put him right to sleep. Anybody with anything over 500k wanna put it on the "running man"....just pm me.

Better than Ward? Lol...wow. I'll admit he pretty much outboxed Froch, until Froch caught him, but he's nowhere near Ward's calibre.

Dirrell is overated by many people, the guy got all the skills but that's not enough.
Skill is only 25% of being a great fighters...imagine this ! Go see Jean Pascal, Jermain Taylor and Dirrell in the gym and after that go see Froch...could you for one moment imagine that that this guy has beaten the three of them, Froch as no skills at all compare to them.
But the guy a high level of confidence and his able to be calm and focus at all time, Dirrell will never have that. By the way, Froch will have is first defeat against Kessler, Kessler will be a very focus man on that night...by losing to Ward, Kessler will be more focus !

I think he is a good young fighter. I think that loss to Froch (though I thought he won), may have been the spark he needed to push himself even harder. He has great boxing ability, but he still has some learning to do. I think he just needs to sit down on his punches more and be a bit more agreessive at this point of his career. The best is yet to come from him and I truly believe that he will upset Arthur Abraham in April.

Dirrell is OK. Good skills. Fast. But he seemed scared of Froch. Regardless, I had him winning that fight. Abraham is a different story. He hits harder and has much better defense. I think Andre will be terrified of him, and because of this he won't be able to perform at his best, possibly too afraid to open up and let his hands go for fear of being brutally knocked out.
