He agreed because he's with Top Rank and it's his biggest pay day.
You serious? He fought at WW for nearly all his career and is still a WW, if he was struggling then he would have moved up ages ago, he's just making excuses for himself, it's pretty pathetic actually

Would the fight have been made so quick if Clottey was not with Top Rank and/or not about to receive the biggest pay day? He and no one else doing the negotiations care about weight problem at that point.
Didn't he fight Cotto at 147? How come he wasn't weight drained and there were no excuses, but for this fight - he's weight drained. If he has problem making the weight, why did he take the fight? Now I really hope Pacquiao knocks him out.

I don't understand why people think this is going to be a tough fight for Pac, it's not.
I said this months ago when people criticized him for NOT goin' for the kill against Cotto.......he had NOTHING in the tank in those late rounds......when it was time to press on the gas my dude was out of petro!!......154 doesn't have the BIG names like the Mosley's, Mayweather's, Cotto's and Pacquiao's that 147 does......ask Paul Williams.....I heard he suppose to be coming back down
