No one can possibly say a win over Roy means much at this point. If beating Roy now is a good win for Bernard then Danny Green is "a legend for beating a legend". Everyone with eyes to see know how much Roy has lost from his prime. If Hopkins beats Roy at this point it dosen't mean anything or do anything for his legacy. If Roy still manages to beat Hopkins it can mean one of two things. Either Hopkins grow instantly old or Roy always had his number.

i say roys 93 win is better than a 2010 bhop win. Unless bhop scores a big KO in a fight that he dominates for a few round then ya maybe it will even it out. but only in that situation

Well what I said before was that Hopkins "was not Green" like many others did. I noted that in jail he was boxing champ and training. He was also old enough to where his body was matured as a man, as well as him having around the same amount of Pro fights as Jones Jr (who was also better at 168 so he wasn't at his peak yet)...and Hopkins was the #1 rated fighter when he fought Jones Jr. for the title. I've also said that it was Hopkins who continued to refuse the rematch and not Jones who was willing to get the fight made so it tells you right there that Hopkins knew he wasn't going to beat him...not as long as Jones was Prime. I've also gone further and said that Hopkins liked to keep Jones Jr.'s name in the discussion because it helped promote his name...kind of like how Hatton used to do it with Floyd.

I've also said that like Jones Jr. when he came down in weight and was drained and dead, Hopkins got Tarver at the right time when he dropped the weight.

          Jones Jr > Hopkins

O, and I'm from Philly saying this so no bias...just seeing it like I see it.

I wouldn't call it even at all, Jones is done. I would've called it even had the fight happened when it was supposed to happen 8 or so years ago. Even Hopkins referred to the fight as a stay busy fight.

If Bernard beats Roy.... he beat.......... a guy who isnt even considered top 20 in his own division, and hasnt been in the p4p list in 7 years, and coming off a 1st round TKO loss.

                How is this even questionable?

so you are saying bhop should not get credit? are you kidding me?

if bernard beats roy... then HE BEAT ROY IN A REMATCH, that is all there is to it. the rest is bull**** and you know it

and you should not discredit a bhop cause that itself would discredit a roy win
