Is this the first fight to be "reviewed" by a sanctioning body?

    Corrales vs. Castillo?

This fight was amazing. No doubt. I think it was odd that Corrales got so much time to recover, but didnt think that they would revert to "review"ing the fight. The stoppage on Castillo looked legit, Jose Luis was out on his feet. Is this the first fight to ever be reviewed, if not hook me up with some knowledge.

    I'm not sure

Any change in the outcome(Corrales by TKO10) is unlikely.Although,as a fight fan,I would love for this match to be switched to a draw so the rematch would be more of a possibility.

I think the WBC might order Corrales that he give Castillo a rematch. They will not strip him unless he doesnt want to fight Castillo. That might have Corrales move up to 140.

I think that what they are reviewing is how much did the time given to Corrales effect the outcome of the fight. I think that it is good that they are reviewing the fight, but I can't remember of a fight being over ruled. But they should over rule it because ther is no way Corrales would have gotten a TKO over Castillo if he had not been granted all that time to recuperate. Castillo would have won that fight if the ref did not give Corrales all that time to recover so I think it should be over ruled.

I agree...when a fighter is hurt, the refs must allow the other fighter to finish him off..they fought to hard to get to that point in the fight..but by the ref letting corrales regain his senses fully...he allowed him to regain the capability of knocking out castillo.i hope the wbc rules for a rematch....because corrales doesn't want any part of castillo anymore...like a coward he doesn't want to give castillo a rematch...

No one likes to lose, but if you look at all the facts, Castillo's camp has a case. I dont like all this controversy tarnishing a good fight, but it's true. I say, bottom line:Rematch. Either way they should do it again, it could set up a superb trilogy, or maybe Chico will KO JLC again.

The WBC is having a “very important meeting” in their headquarters office this Tuesday and will make a very important announcement regarding the JLC-DC fight.
Most likely a direct rematch will be ordered for the month of November.

If Corrales does not comply, he will be stripped of his belt.
