No, because we know the haters will say Mayweather beat a past prime boxer, he's too old, etc.

Floyd is not going to knock out SSM.

Floyd needs to beat Pacquiao to be the undisputed #1 p4p because people are going to say he didn't beat Pacquiao to regain his #1 p4p status.

My personal opinion would be to give it to Floyd, since he's facing a bigger challenge in Mosley.
      pacquiao - octavian
      mosley - mark antony

      mayweather - lepidus

I think The Ring would stick with Pacquiao since he has held it since Floyd retired and had 3 fights while he was retired plus he stoped Cotto and at least beat Clottey. Floyd dominated Marquez but I think with Mosley only being his second fight back, even if he did the same to him it's not enough to take the #1 spot if pacquiao does lose to Clottey.

I disagree.... Again lets say Floyd dominates, schools Shane... While Pac goes life and death with Clottey, even gets a gift decision... then you Floyd would be consider the best fighter...

Or, if the next two fight Floyd beats Shane and P-WIll... While Pac beats Clottey and Margarito... Floyd would be known as the P4P guy...

P4P is not a title... You don't have to beat the #1 guy to get that spot... All you have to do is just do better than the top guy... Like a lot of people say that if Floyd never left that Pac would of never been P4P... But, we honestly don't know that cuz Pac could of still snatched that top spot away from him without fighting him... And, this could be the case here too...

Pac will still be P4P #1 and Mayweather will be the #1 WW.

What if Floyd struggles with wins a close fight... A fight that could of gone either way... And, Pac dominates Clottey... Does Floyd still get the #1 spot? If so why?

But then again Pacquiao didn't beat Mayweather to get the #1 P4P either.

They need to fight each other to determine the real #1. It's a hogwash right now.
