I respect Paul, he's an exciting fighter but his trainer Peterson is always talking mad **** "spanking butt" this and that. I think Williams should just stay at 154-160lbs, going down to 147 is just not where he should be fighting at, he's too damn tall. I guess Peterson doesn't want William's "butt getting spanked" again from fighters that fight their actual weight like "Maravilla" Martinez.

Williams had a war with Margarito and a war with Martinez. Doesn't matter which weight he's at, he's willing to put it on the line for the fans.

I'm calling it now, Williams will stay at 154, and will fight the winner of Cotto-Foreman.

        I think that's a great idea.

But I also see him fighting Cintron or Collazo first.

He could get a fight with Berto..that may be the biggest fight he'll land at welter.

quintana is the only one I beleive is willing to fight him @ WW and also he moved to 154... and also is doing a ****** or maybe a smart move by not facing vanes.. cos i think at this stage right now. .due to vane being more active and quintana having that long lay off.... i favor vanes over quintana.

                    a) It was not his biggest payday

                    b) It was at very short notice and he wasn't in training and Williams was

                    c) If Williams could have made 154, he'd have fought Martinez at 154 - but he couldn't.

                    d) Williams turned down a fight with Clottey at 147 earlier that year on HBO, which would not have been at short notice, which HBO wanted him to take, and which Clottey had agreed to - on the very weak grounds that Clottey had lost to Cotto. And that was at a time when Williams' was in negotiations with Sergiy Dzinziruk, which would have made him less money than fighting Clottey.

Clottey is not a journeyman he is a top Welterweight, and deserves to be treated with respect.

                    Get off Williams' balls.

Dave - can you provide a link of this? I'm in touch with Clottey's camp quite a bit and I hear different.
