He is supposed to be the #1 LHW in the world. *** his age, who cares? He is ranked at one and instead of fighting a legit contender he is fighting a guy who is totally past it, got KTFO in round 1 against a journeyman in his last fight and doesn't have a relevant win at LHW in over 5 years. What's worse is people have to pay $50 to watch it.

Even as Hopkins fan I'm disappointed with this fight since I feel it's a lose-lose situation. If he wins, so what, he beat a shell of Roy Jones who just got KO'ed by Danny Green. If he loses then it's just humiliating.

Still, there is the rivalry factor that makes it intriguing and there's no way I won't be buying this.

Agreed. As bad as I think this fight. I have seen far worse in my years of wathing boxing. This doesn't hurt the sport in any way. Certianly no more than the upcoming Ortiz-Liddell or the late career Tim Shamrock fights did to the UFC.
