Castillo landed 46 more punches according to compubox. This is where compubox can be misleading.....were those extra 46 punches spread across all rds. Were they in rds Castillo won or rds Mayweather won. Were they all in one or 2 rds...etc etc??

People on here rely far too much on compubox. Sometimes it's great. Go look at compubox for Mayweather v Gatti....it will tell u exactly what happened.....then look at it for mayweather vs chavez....if u didn't see the fight u would not be able to tell chavez threw in the towel..... going by the compubox numbers it was even.........

This fight was very close. Much closer than the insane cards the judges had. That is the real issue with this fight. Not that Mayweather won a decision it was that the judges has Castillo winning only 2 or 3 rds when he clearly won at a minimum 5 rds. there were a few rds in this fight that could have gone to either guy or been drawn rds.

i will sau i haven't seen this for awhile but i will tell u wat i rememver of rd 10, 11 and 12.......the commentary team were on Castillos nuts for the last 3 rds and failed to realise (as did Lederman) that Floyd won the 11th rd clearly. In the 1th floyd fought in the pocket and traded shots with Castillo and he got the better of Castillo....cleaner, harder and more accurate shots.......the only one who realised it was foreman........

Those who says that david diaz is a boring fighter are wrong and does not know how to appreciate brawlers or swarmers and there skills.

¿What about #1 contender Anthony Peterson?

First of all the title ain't vacant, according to the slimy leech Sulaiman the official champion(Edwin Valero)is in some new bull**** invention from Sulaiman himself called "champion in recess"(Which is some bull**** scam to begin with just to collect more $$$$ on sanctioning fees)& now Sulaiman put's one of his fellow Mexican comrade's Humberto "La Zorrita" Soto against Mexican decent David Diaz & totally bumping off the OFFICIAL #1 WBC LIGHTWEIGHT CONTENDER ANTHONY PTERSON..If Sulaiman is going to throw some sort of carbon copy title around, he should at least include the #1 contender..Anthony Peterson is a very good & telented fighter & he's dew for a world title & Sulaiman is denying him that chance..

Correct me if Iam wrong, but isn't Edwin Valero the wbc lightweight champion!! How can soto and diaz be fighting for the title then?? Is this another bull**** scam for the wbc to get some sanctioning money!! Anyways this undercard SUCKS!! No wonder boxing is losing to UFC and MMA!!

David Diaz is a sacrificial lamb for Soto. You people need to wake up and see this fight is something that any TV network would pay a dime for if it was offered to them. Why don't Arum make a fight like Anthony Peterson-Humberto Soto? Something a little more competitive. Diaz is a bum who got lucky with a fluke punch against Santa Cruz.
