I think Paul is good but not great. I like him because he fights and have enjoyed the three fights of his I have seen. But I don't know how great he will be at middle weight or higher. If your in guys faces fighting them to be really good you need power. And when boxers move up in weight it does not help their power or their chin. At middle weight I would compare him to someone like Juan Diaz. What is so great about Pwill? He gets hit does punch that hard and he has good hand speed but not great. Best thing he has going for him is his height but at middle weight his height is not so great.Comment

He doesnt even use his height though.I think Paul is good but not great. I like him because he fights and have enjoyed the three fights of his I have seen. To me hs is over rated all this most feared crap and this one wont fight him and that one is cared of him went out the window with the Clottey fight for me nukka. He could have pulled a JT and fought Clottey on showtime stayed in the welter weight divison rather then move to 154 and fight a Verno Phillips. He stands there and talks **** about fighters not fighting him but then he pulled that same **** on Clottey. Now he couldn't make a fight with Pvlik for what ever reason. He gets a win for a tought fight with Martinez and I don't see his peeps trying that hard to make a play for the rematch my nukka. Do you? Instead we got Pavlik fighting a guy like Martinez at 160 a guy who many think will give him much more problems cause STYLES MAKE FIGHTS then Williams. Where is Williams going huh? Back down to 147 to pick on guys smaller then him where his chin is more solid. Come one open your eyes my man. He got chin checked at 160 by a 154lb fighter. He don't really want a rematch with Martinez or he could have got one and he damn sure don't want it with Pavlik or he would have waited another 2 weeks to get him in the ring. He is SEVERELY OVER RATED!!first of williams has an iron chin, saying he has a suspect chin is ignorant just like talking about him fighting at 168 in the near future.
he is beatable, he can be outboxed theres no doubt about that. but his size, workrate, chin and heart will still give most fighters out there a hard fight.
end of the day all real fans know he has flaws, but hes young enough to correct them and he has alot of god given talents that cant be taught. his heart, chin, height, reach, power (when he uses it) etc. boxing skills can be taught, hes like 26 years old ffs, give him a few years to improve and he will be a monster.Comment

quintana fought smart and MADE him have an off nightWilliams is not overrated, he fights the best and produces great fights, just look at a few of his past fights (Martinez, Winky, Margarito) those are some tough boxers and are right up there for the most avoided, he had an off night against Quintana and proved it by knocking him out in the rematch.
martinez did the same for some time to. but his stamina issues and pwill's pressure made him tireComment
-
the only very good fighter he's fought above 147 is sergio martinez (whom he fought abouve martinez's natural weight class)
in 147, margarito and quintana (twice, lost the 1st)
i don't see how he is the "definition" of p4p with his limited resume, although to be fair, pavlik did duck himComment

I think Elite fighters dominate solid fighters.the only very good fighter he's fought above 147 is sergio martinez (whom he fought abouve martinez's natural weight class)

Verno Phillips.
Winky Wright.
Both a bit past it, but still solid.Comment

Verno Phillips never had a prime Winky had a style all wrong for Williams. He let Williams throw and kept his ear muffs on. Lost on points Williams could not hurt Winky. Winky in his prime >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WilliamsComment

those wins aren't p4p quality wins
and they weren't a "bit" past it. winky is not only old, but was also coming off a 2 year layoff, he has lost his last 2 fightsComment
