PAUL WILLIAMS is SEVERELY OVER RATED!!!

I have watched this guy for a hot minute now and besides the volume of punches he throws I see nothing else about him and his boxing ability that would cause me to say he is that good. I truly think "El Maravilla" exposed him for what he is an unskilled pressure fighter who is very hittable with a suspect chin. At 160 vs a 154lber he got hurt something terrible and would have been finished if not for the bell in the first round. He throws punches that even for his wing span are way out of range. I think Ishe smith was right in saying above 147 he looks brittle. el hombre es demasiado maldito flaco y la barbilla ha roto por escrito por todas partes Honestly a good counter puncher with movement will destroy him pick him apart. I truly wish Hopkins would take a fight with him at 168 and just lay him to rest.

You make Lefty look bad. You are a **** poster bro. Martinez said that was toughest fight of his career. He gave Paul props time for you to do same.

I never said it was not a good tough fight. It was but I think Martinez won. I am not alone wit dat either brah. Honest the guy has tons of faults not that he aint fun to watch but to say he is top 5 p4p is crazy. I mean who has he beaten? Don't even say Wnky Wright coming off a 2 year lay off. If you wanted to impress me with that win then he needed to stop him. Andy Kolle? He got 1 good win to his credit in my mind Margarito and the Martinez fight which I scored the other way.

If wuz up on ur slang brah hot minute means a while. I have watched his fights some live and I have tuned in via you tube since I came home. We get cable in the joint but no premium channels like HBO and ****. If you rewatch the fight with Quintana you will see what I mean. Compare that fight to the one with Martinez. It is only going to get worse as the size of his opponents get closer to his. At 160 fighting full middle weights he wont have that much of a size advantage. Big difference in fighting a guy with a 70" reach and a guy with a 76" reach you know.

I have always viewed him as a punching machine with limited skill, he impressed me a bit against Winky though, now i know his style was all wrong for Winky but he still did a good job and i assumed he had improved a lot but he was back to his worst against Martinez.

I do think he beat Martinez though. I did not watch the fight on HBO either, i watched in Russian so i could not be swayed by biased commentary,im also not a Paul Williams fans so i dont think i can be accused of being biased either way.

Williams is not overrated, he fights the best and produces great fights, just look at a few of his past fights (Martinez, Winky, Margarito) those are some tough boxers and are right up there for the most avoided, he had an off night against Quintana and proved it by knocking him out in the rematch.

This is exactly how I see him we agree 100%. This is not to say he wont beat alot of fighters and that he is not good for boxing and fun to watch but at middle weight against the more heavy handed guys that can counter him? He leaves himself wide open. He gets hit with the same punches he is very easy to time and does not use his heaight to his advantage. When he gets in there with a guy like Pavlik not saying Pavlik thinking of Pavliks size and hieght reach etc he wont have the physical advantages he has at welter or junior middle and we will see where he stands or lays.
