Who did Malignaggi ever beat that was nearly as dangerous as Ortiz? Lovemore N'Dou? Juan Diaz? Edner Cherry? Let me know when you have a legitimate answer...

Mallignaggi would have a good chance against Ortiz. Styles make fights. Maidana was beaten by Kotelnik who Mallignaggi would beat with ease. Although I agree that Ortiz is a better win than anybody on Mallignaggi's record. But could Maidana go 12 with prime Cotto?

Maidana is more dangerous fighter, but Mallignaggi is a skilled boxer. I think being schooled for 12 rounds by Mallignaggi, would do Khan more harm than being ko'd early against Maidana. We already know Khan is weak in the chin department and if he lost to Maidana by ko, he could finish his career by fighting soft punching opponents and nobody would be able to question him after being ko'd twice by huge punchers. However if Khan is outboxed by Mallignaggi, where would he go? He may not fare well against the big hitters, and if he can't beat Mallignaggi, then he obviously can't hang with the skilled world class.

If Khan loses to Mallignaggi he is facing a return to domestic climes. If he loses to Maidana by KO, nobody would really be surprised, and he would still have his skills to fall back on and maybe have another shot in the U.S against light hitting but well known boxers.

I believe that Mallignaggi has the potential to ruin Khan's U.S breakthrough. Maidana can only stall it for brief period.

look i like paulie i think hes talented and tuff but extremely limited and gets hit a lot ... plain in simple hes hittable and beatable, his best asset is his speed and khans faster. i presonally think khan beats paulie and maidana prob beats khan and imo def beats paulie. not cause maidana is better but more cause of his style.

Your probably right that Maidana is the more dangerous fight. Just trying to put the risk of Mallignaggi in a new light.

Oh well, hopefully we get to see both fights happen within the next year or so.

khan paulie is gonna be a battle of speed and those are always good (at least imo) shame paulie hasnt got a right or it would be even better ... i think it'll be a good fight paulies gonna come in confident and hungry and its shouldnt be all that easy of a win khan
