Do you really think a defenseless Cotto would have beat a accurate
counter/puncher like Floyd? All cotto was then and now is a puncher
and look how that turned out. Take away his punch and he is there
for the pickings.

Cotto is not an accurate puncher....never has been.......he proved that against clottey when he unloaded with 10 or more punches at a time when Clotteys back was on the ropes......none of them ever landed cleanly

I will say this though, pre Margo cotto would have been a tough fight for Floyd from a stylistic viewpoint as long as Cotto came in with a similar game plan he used against Shane.......

shane himself knows he is not as skilled as floyd. shane has a punchers chance but thats it. he cannot match floyds boxing pedigree.

Not only did he predict the outcome...he predited that Shane would savage Margo....

you're seriously underestimating clottey's peek a boo defense.

cotto can't beat floyd either, but it would've been nice to see, basically cause cotto gases. too bad floyd retired to get away from cotto.

shane has better footwork to catch that in between distance that floyd presents and will not be stuck ****ing his shoulders but will instead be able to keep good enough distance to score points to the body, floyd will be able to roll a lot of it but they will be scoring points and rounds, and that is the difference for shane who still has excellent agility and coordination to do the things needed to be done to beat a pot shotting floyd.

when was the last time you watched shane fight? he has good footwork? the same shane that couldnt cut of the ring with marg or cotto? GTFOH

i belive mosley can box with money i do think money can out think mosley if he had time to if mosley is all over his ass he won't have time to think and he will lose this fight

That's the funniest thing I've heard. Cotto had so many
holes in his game. Cotto got tagged in every big fight he
was in by slow and fast fighters alike. I never believed Cotto
could beat Floyd or that Floyd was ducking him considering
Arum was babying Cotto when it came to Floyd. Remember,
Cotto was at the Gatti fight because he was one of the runners
up to be next to take on Floyd and the fight never happened.
Everything I ever said about Cotto on Boxing Scene came to
past. He was a work in progress and Floyd was/is a complete
fighter that would have mentally destroyed Cotto in the ring.
