Campillo would own Cloud. And Lampley probably said that because he had seen more of Cloud than Campillo. There was no video footage of Shumenov-Campillo as well.
What exactly has Cloud done to prove he is better than Campillo?

So your accusing me of basing my opinion on 1 fight but you just did the same.Cloud would overwhelm Campillo. Campillo looked skilled against a completely raw and unskilled Shumenov. Have you watched the fight where he was knocked out? Or his decision loss to a European level champ? How were his skills in those fights?
Cloud on the other hand showed a clear ability to adapt to his opponent against Woods and displayed good defensive movement for someone considered a crude slugger going into the fight. If you watch the fight closely you can see in the 2nd and 3rd rounds Woods starts taking control of the fight to a certain extent by picking Cloud off with short left hooks when Cloud is stepping in. I recall thinking Woods had won both rounds and things looked bad for Cloud.
However as soon as Woods had gained the upper hand Cloud changed tactics and adapted. He started feinting and drawing Woods left hook and then countering him and punishing him. After he started doing that Woods was hesitant to commit and Cloud began walking in much easier. It was a very subtle change but showed a quality that other guys like Edison Miranda and Jeff Lacy never have or never will possess.
If you think Cloud hasn't done anything to prove anything and likewise think Campillo is highly skilled based off a single fight against a relative unknown.... well I dunno why I am even bothering.
I guess for the benefit of others who may read this and take your post to heart.
You could claim that Shumenov is raw an unskilled but he is actually very similar to Cloud though Cloud is faster and keeps up the tempo for the full round.
Woods though a decent fighter was always just a gatekeeper, Cloud to me is still very unproven while an unknown guy who proves he can bounce back and win titles gets very little mention.
I would say at this stage both should be regarded as on the same level in terms of where they stand in the division based on accomplishments.Comment
