because alot of people on here have only been around the sport for a short amount of time, and the contrast between say manny pacquiao and floyd is huge. If you have only watched manny and then a few other fights casually since, watching floyd mayweather is a different experience. Keep in mind, when you are being told through media outlets that floyd is *****, a ducker a cherry picker etc, you get this impression that he fights like a ***** and his entire record is handpicked.
Thats why you see what you see on this board, i can honestly say, arums smear campaign that started in mid 2006 when mayweather left him really worked.Comment

To me it's the same as like watching the Spurs. They are a very fundamentally sound basketball team, but they're not very exciting. Except when Ginobli let's loose. Pretty much most people just want to be entertained. Ain't nothing wrong with that.Comment

This is exacty why i love watching him fight its basically Boxing 101When i pay for floyd PPVs i expect what ive seen of him since he was a hot prospect at the olympics. Its funny, at the olympics he wasnt even the star, it was actually antonio tarver.
Also, with floyd i expect to do what he does, box to the pedigree that hes been trained to do since birth. You keep saying "you dont get what you pay for" most people who have been around the sport the last 10 years know what they get with floyd.
There are plenty of fighters who engage in all out brawls, knockdowns etc. Floyd is one of the few pure boxers left in the entire sport.Comment
