Unlike skin and subcutaneous tissue, that area of hematoma in his brain is scarred up and actually tougher than normal brain tissue with hardly any vascularity...in a way, you can say his brain is actually tougher from any future trauma induced bleed than before the accident. His subsequent fights prove that.

Fibrotic tissues are like the grissles you find in tendons and sinew, and yes, u can say that with repeated injuries and healing/scarring, valero's brain is slowly transformed into a piece of meat...therefore the term meathead...it's true...
