Hi, I've been reading rumors of this fight coming to fruition on HBO. This is an obvious mismatch favoring Berto. I assume you want a soft touch for some type of homecoming, but how many soft touches will Berto get? He's fought one top ten contender in his division in eight appearances. If you want a matchup that favors Berto, there's a past prime Hatton wanting an opponent. Paulie Malignaggi would be a solid opponent for Amir Khan or the winner of Alexander-Urango.

It pains to see what my subscription fee has and is being wasted on. I will not support this matchup economically or as a spectator. Thank you for reading.

I agree though it is very anti-climatic... Mosley was the step-up and now Malignaggi... I mean Malignaggi needs to have a dance partner to have an interesting match-up... I got no problem with any boxer making a living. **** I wish they could all get hundreds of thousands and millions every time they put their neck on the line.

Which is why I gave them alternatives to this. Berto could fight Hatton, Alvarez, or Judah (all with more name recognition than Paulie).

Malignaggi could fight Khan, the winner of Maidana-Cayo or Alexander-Urango (each more winnable fight than Berto).

There's better fights than this and they have to explore those options, I don't want to support whatever they want.

nah, it's not ppv, it's gonna be on regular hbo. That's why i was talking about my subscription fee.

It's obvious to me that they wanna do something nice for berto, but the man has been fighting figueroa, bravo, estrada, trabant, rodriguez, forbes, and urango all on hbo. Yet they wouldn't pay for even slugfest like adamek-johnson or adamek-cunningham i or ii, etc.

I was pretty much just frontin though cuz imma somehow watch, but i rather they start using the money everyone pays them wisely and not for spoon feeding a boxer because of who his manager is.

I will also boycott Pac-Clottey if Margarito is put onto the card.

If you boycott a free fight in Malignaggi-Berto and then pay 60 bucks for a farce like Hopkins-Jones you won't be doing a very good job making your point to HBO by hitting their pockets.
