My Email To HBO On Berto-Malignaggi

Hi, I've been reading rumors of this fight coming to fruition on HBO. This is an obvious mismatch favoring Berto. I assume you want a soft touch for some type of homecoming, but how many soft touches will Berto get? He's fought one top ten contender in his division in eight appearances. If you want a matchup that favors Berto, there's a past prime Hatton wanting an opponent. Paulie Malignaggi would be a solid opponent for Amir Khan or the winner of Alexander-Urango.

It pains to see what my subscription fee has and is being wasted on. I will not support this matchup economically or as a spectator. Thank you for reading.

I know HBO wants to give Berto a victory for the Haiti situation, but they've already spent my patience with him.

If you don't want to see this fight get made, send this email.

Well put. I'm not watching that either.

I'd also tell those ****ers not to compete with Showtime's broadcasts and not to schedule fights on the same night. Sorry, but why can't HBO's fights be on different nights? It's whack IMO.

This is exactly the kind of action that is required.

        I support this effort.

Thanks guys, just saying my piece.

These guys aren't like Top Rank, they actually listen when enough people threaten to boycott or anything that has to do with taking money away from them.

the one sure way toget them to listen, is to also send a notice of cancellation of ur hbo subscription. the only way we can fight this nonsense is with by hitting them in the pocket.

Exactly, if we use our power (our collective money and threats to take it away), we could essentially run the sport.

I remember this funny ass Snickers commercial on the Super Bowl a couple years back that had to be pulled because a ****sexual organization was offended and threatened a boycott.

HBO and Showtime run boxing, if we get together and use our power, we run boxing.

Nah, it's not ppv, it's gonna be on regular HBO. That's why I was talking about my subscription fee.

It's obvious to me that they wanna do something nice for Berto, but the man has been fighting Figueroa, Bravo, Estrada, Trabant, Rodriguez, Forbes, and Urango all on HBO. Yet they wouldn't pay for even slugfest like Adamek-Johnson or Adamek-Cunningham I or II, etc.

I was pretty much just frontin though cuz Imma somehow watch, but I rather they start using the money everyone pays them wisely and not for spoon feeding a boxer because of who his manager is.
