Edwin is 28 years old, and I didn't say he's improving really. I said he had the skills all along, only now he realized he must change his style. Valero was dominating Morales years ago when he was 16 - 0. The same Morales who was too much for Pacquiao.

Some boxers can improve at 28 years old. They can become more defensive, such as Hopkins, to prolong their careers. Increasing their speed, power, and stamina overnight at old age would be really weird though...

Btw Chups, what's with your "KFC" avatar with Floyd's photo?

You're on record voting that if Pacquiao turned down the 14-day cutoff that he ducked the fight. Which Pacquiao turned down. You even said, "I almost thought Pacquiao ducked the fight", when Arum put out the rumor that the 14-day cutoff was never brought up at mediation, which turned out to be a lie as it was brought up. One can only make a logical conclusion that you feel Pacquiao ducked Mayweather Jr based off your vote and comments.

Mayweather has an established track record of ducking big fights. Pac does not.

He said Oscar was not even training and that he (Valero) was beating up Oscar so bad in sparring, he was laughing, and said he was thrown out of camp for giving Oscar a beating. He predicted Pacquiao would KO Oscar. In that same Interview, somehow Mayweather's name was mentioned and Valero said (while imitating the shoulder roll), "I don't like that, I like to fight" (while making a fist). He did say Floyd is an amazing fighter.

It seems Valero changed his mind about Floyd's style after seeing him dominate Marquez so easily, the man who the majority thought out-boxed Pacquiao x2, because during the Valero vs DeMarco fight we saw Valero doing his best Floyd impression at times. I thought it was very cool to see that! After the fight Valero said, "I learned a lesson in this fight, I can't just come forward and throw, I must pace myself". In short, the lesson he learned was to be more like Floyd using movement and rolling punches, etc. It was impressive to see how humble Valero was and how he's improving and changing his style during fights.

I was thinking about this and feel his 100% KO ratio is coming at an end after his next fight. I think we're going to see a very slick Valero dominate his next opponent from round 1. If he does get a KO, I will bet the over rounds, because I think Valero "the boxer" has just matured a lot.
lmfaooo. i thought you were gonna quote valero ACTUALLY SAYING HE WANTED TO FIGHT LIKE MAYWEATHER. instead you injected your own crappy opinion & tried to pass it off as some kind of compliment to fraud jr.

Not only is it such a blatantly wrong comparison, it would be a huge mistake for valero to fight like mayweather. HE IS WHO HE IS BECAUSE HE FIGHTS LIKE A YOUNG PACQUIAO. If he fought like mayweather he wouldnt have a 27-0 record with 27 kos.

He just needs to improve his technique & defense but not to the point where it is a detriment to his offense. His next step in evolution is to become a boxer puncher like pacquiao. He WILL NEVER FIGHT LIKE FRAUD JR.

He doesnt have the mental make up or the technique ingrained in like mayweather has been since he was a child.

            what a fekking horrible assessment.

            red k given.

If that's your opinion, fine, but obviously the avatar was made in response to the cancellation of Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Juding from Chups vote and pre-fallout comments, it appears he feels Pacquiao ducked the fight.

Also, You're not Chups, and I didn't ask you.

I think Valero is truly unique, and the kind of fighter that you should just enjoy whilst he lasts. He will get exposed eventually, but its going to take a very gutsy and diciplined fighter to do it. The guy hits like a truck and just keeps winging away, and taking that even on your arms for 4 or 5 rounds is going to be pretty tough.

chups chups chups chups. your silly.
boxers mature. and can improve. happens all the time. when ko fighters mature or move up or in valeros case when he finaly fights a top tier who knows how to move, you must adapt. and valero fckg more than adapted.

the guy at http://www.boxingvideos.net/fights.asp sent me four valero fights free with my order. i seen a ko artist knock the sht out of everyone and then take longer than it should of to get rid of some of these obviously
set up fighters. but man the poster here thats seen valero spar was right on. this guys more than a ko artist.
lets see what he does against other top tiers at lt welter.

If Valero continues to adjust his style to be more like Mayweather Jr., I think his chances of being exposed are slim. He's learning a lot though. It was cool to see him use Floyd's shoulder roll throughout the second half of the fight!
