There are some very knowledgeable posters here, but they are few and far between. You have to sort through a lot of crap to find it but it exists.

If it wasn't worth sorting through it to find it I wouldn't lurk or post here though so it's obviously worth it to me.

I like this place but to expect serious discussions about match-ups, skills, technique, etc. for more than 1% of the posts is ridiculous. I really don't have much boxing knowledge because I've never done it and I haven't been a fan for very long, but I love watching it and I love discussing it. Am I insightful? Not really...

Absolutely!!! There are some very knowledgeable fight fans and posters here but the sad reality is that they get drowned out and over run by all the BS.

And its not even logical BS - its just silly ****, where guys just post crap just because they can. It doesn't have to make sense, it doesn't have to have any relationship to reality - hell, it doesn't even have anything to do with boxing sometimes and its posted.

There has to be a line in the sand drawn, if a site is to be considered a serious boxing site or just a site where boxing is comedy. And I think the line has to be established here .... for the sake of the guys that are regulars and serious fans of the sport.

If you let the trolls take over then that's all you're going to have. Constant, unrestricted trolling.

We get this **** every week from these noobs. Every time an up and coming fighter has a good night these dumbass ***s are all over the guy crowing him the next legend. Last week was Gamboa, this week Valero,next week it'll be someone else.

Its a pattern and like you stated - it happens after every fight. Where a new HERO is CROWNED and is exalted to the level of UNBEATABLE .... then after he loses, he gets knocked off the pedestal just as fast as he was put up, and a new hero is crowned.

The cycle starts all over again.

Props to Valero for beating Demarco convincingly tonight. He proved that he's the real deal and not a mere internet sensation like Kimbo Slice.

Not saying that he can't be a top ten p4p, but to say that he can beat all the great fighters right now would be a ****** stretch.
