I did not see he being as slick as some seem to think today, besides the elbow cut, Valero got caught with some nasty shots from an average boxer, he was bleeding from the nose and above his eye from legitimate punches. I don't think that he should move up to LWW, there are some boxers there that outpower and outskill Demarko in there.

He also, like Antonio Margarito knows how to roll his head with punches. So even when you think he's getting caught, he's actually taking the full impact of the punch off by rolling his head.

Mayorga may be the best at this.
All 3 guys you named get hit...........ALOT.

one or two more fights at 135 & i think valero should move up. all the big names & money fights are at 140. I think the best fight at 135 would be ali funeka. the best name fight would be against juan diaz.

            Soto

            Funeka

            Marqeuz

            Peterson

            Moses

            Katsisdis

All would give the Caveman a hard time.

I favor Soto,Marquez, Peterson and Funeka over Valero.

interesting names. never seen moses fight.
out of those fighters i'd give peterson and marquez a good chance at beating valero.
peterson should start making moves now before valero moves up, unless he plans on moving up as well (he's a pretty big LW anyways).
              i'd love to see a peterson/valero matchup.

                Agreed.

                Peterson has all the tools.

He just needs to apply them.

i personally think his skills look weak and expect him to get atleast somewhat exposed once he takes on a real world class oponent who can box him. i hope im wrong though, if valero proved to be the real deal p4p it would be great for boxing.
