Floyd would make Valero look like a fool. Ring IQ, defence and counter punching ability would diminish his activity.

People need to realise that a fighter will only be as active as you allow them to be. Margarito is a fighter with high activity, I'm not sure about the overall numbers but it was ineffective against Mosley and he paid big time.

Love Valero.....but you are in la la land with that statement. I thought he would beat DeMarco handily.......and i was 100% sure he would win after i saw DeMarco at the weigh in..........

He would let Valero probably take some early rounds thinking he could pick him apart if his workrate went down, but it never would. And I'll say he's an effective pressure fighter becuase like Pac, he steps back at the right time to avoid return fire and he can sneak in so many odd punches from odd angles.
Im sick of hearing people talk about that odd angles ****. All that means is that he's a Southpaw and pretty much no one in boxing has good D anymore. And I mean foreal, DeMarco is no Floyd. He obviously didnt know what to do with a Southpaw. His workrate was halfway good just do to the fact that DeMarco wasnt throwing at all and he was much slower. Floyd aint going to give away no early rounds to Valero. He smokes his ass from the jump but even if he did, he would still smoke him from the 4th or 5th on. Weve seen that Floyd is the best at making adjustments so we cant assume that he can just because DeMarco couldnt. I still think it was more than that. I think he just didn show up.

I also think that they put in his head so much to respect his power, be cautious, and take him into the late rounds, that it basically made him fight different. They made him a ***** on there own for 4 rounds and by then it was too late to change. I think Valero looks good but I didnt see something so special that made him look any better than Guzman, Funeka, Diaz, Soto, JMM, or whoever. Im not saying that he would win against any of them but I didnt see anything that made me say, "wow, he would kill all those cats". You can definetly say that about Floyd

Valero needs to scare his opponents to be as effective as he was tonight, but Floyd is as comfortable in a ring as a fighter can be. Floyd would put it on Valero pretty badly and since Valero has never been tested in that manner I find it doubtful that he would pass such a test.

I thought Demarco could have pulled off the upset tonight.
Wait a second...so you thought Demarco could pull off the upset, yet you think Valero could beat Floyd...Dude...Floyd is 50+ levels above Demarco...

I'd honestly rather say Timothy Bradley would beat Sugar Ray Leonard...That makes more sense than this thread.

Pac would KO Valero early, and Mayweather would KO him mid to late. I mean come on, anybody could look good against bums like Demarco. Just look at Berto's early career. But has anyone seen Valero against top tier lightweights? Not to mention that the lightweight division sucks right now. If he can knock Katsidis out then I'll at least give him props.
