Has anyone given a thought to the fact that the roids might be doctor prescribed to help heal his torn biscep? If so, they wouldn't be illegal.

Tyson - Golota fight was canceled due to Tyson smoking a joint after the fight.Originally posted by McKayI doubt they will cancel the fight even if Toney does get stripped by the WBA. They just wont have the fight in New York. It sucks if this ruling goes threw that Toney cant fight in bouts sanctioned by the WBA because now he can never be undisputed champ if that happens.
If proven that Toney used steroid FOR the fight you don't think it should be declared a No Contest? Are you kidding me??Comment

bull ****...its all excuses plus if the steroids were still in his blood come fight time, even if they were to heal his arms, would still boost his performanceOriginally posted by PRboxingfanHas anyone given a thought to the fact that the roids might be doctor prescribed to help heal his torn biscep? If that's the case, he shouldn't be allowed to fight as long as he takes themOriginally posted by PRboxingfanHas anyone given a thought to the fact that the roids might be doctor prescribed to help heal his torn biscep? If so, they wouldn't be illegal.Comment

Yeah maybe I should live my life wearing blinkersOriginally posted by TorinoIn response to some other comments, To dismiss someone’s opinion because you believe them to be "young" or especially "American" is discriminative and racist, obviously from a self centered conceded no-it-all commonly found in the stuck up - aristocratic parts Europe. Having said that, I try not to stereotype Europeans like you just did young Americans. When you get a bit older you'll understand this.
Being young or someone’s nationality has absolutely nothing to do with the topic and your opinion is not more valuable than any young Americans!
seems to work for you?
Truth is... Young people do talk crap. Because they've not experienced things in life yet and haven't been there. (And this quote was originally about a young kid that thinks Toney is the true Champion even if he did take steroids).
If I can get it through to one kid that DRUGS and SPORT do not mix, Then I'm getting somewhere.
Secondly this site is prodominantly American.
In one hand you call me racist and discriminative for mentioning the "A" and "Y" words... Then you ramble on about me, "obviously being a self centered conceded no-it-all commonly found in the stuck up - aristocratic parts Europe".
It ain't a secret where I come from, It say's so in my signature.
Very hypocritical man... I could point the finger at you - You come across as one of those guy's with all the well meaning ideas and answers that'll never realistically work out.
LOL!...Comment

Also, whatever steroids are used to restore muscle tissue are not the same found in his system (anabolic performance enhancer)Originally posted by PRboxingfanHas anyone given a thought to the fact that the roids might be doctor prescribed to help heal his torn biscep? So there goes your theoryComment

Listen he may have screwed up but James Toney is still an all time great and for any to deny that is insane. Just look at his record.Originally posted by martinwbcLet me guess...
You're a kid, about 15-16yrs old and American?
Drugs have no place in sport, ESPECIALLY boxing.
When you get a bit older, and start competing in a sport you'll understand this.Comment

i dont think any1 is discounting his longevity and past greatness but in this particular instance if found guilty of the charges, he should most definitely return the title irregardless of how ahead he was in the fight or how good of a fighter he is. It's ethicsComment

I'm not sure what your objective was, but I don't see how you can glorify yourself as trying to get through to a kid about drugs and sports.Originally posted by martinwbcLet me guess...

You were looking down on the kid for being young, and naive. And if that wasn't enough, about being American. As I said, being American has nothing to do with it unless you feel you are better than Americans.
Well, stop flattering yourself.Comment
