If he's not then why did he fight feliciano and is hesitant to fight vanes??? If you can explain that to me logically I will say you are right!!! I mean doesn't he make more noise by beating vanes or Jesse feliciano? Get my point???

Quintana's team is ****** to turn this down, Vanes is very vulnerable to a southpaw and it's a date back on HBO. I guess they want to be fighting on un-televised under cards again.

Quintana's team is dropping the ball here.

honestly i think he wants a fight with berto judging from his track record that includes m cotto paul williams and joel julio when he was considered a top prospect with serious ko power i doubt he is scared to fight vanes who seems to be solid but not someone to be scared of.

If that's the case they are living in la la land. I think berto has bigger fish to fry than quintana. His performance vs feliciano was far worse than vanes' performance and it wasn't vs a former world champ. I don't think quintanas got it anymore as proven in the feliciano fight so he figures imma gonna lose either way I might as well hope for a bigger fight. I can't blame him but I don't think he's gonna get a bigger fight than vanes at this point in his career. Top rank will get another opponent for vanes and vanes will fight on the cotto foreman undercard while quintana sits his ass at home waiting and hoping for that big name fight. I mean what does berto have to win by beating this fool. Berto has a belt and he was about to fight mosley , you actually think berto would entertain this clown? As far as ouma is concerned, he will make noise in the division and probably beat quintana pretty easily...

And it was his people that contacted vanes people about the fight, so whatever they don't want to fight they don't want to fight... Lol

are we talking about the same berto here? the guy whose last fights have been against urango, forbes and whose toughest fight has been luis collazo a fight that he barely won. isnt paulie maliggnagi the light hitting jw being discussed as his next opponent do you honestly believe that paulie brings more to berto then quintana who is comparable to luis collazo and has fought better comp. i dont know if this fight will be made or if this is a good career business dec for quintana but i doubt he is ducking the feared lol vanes becuase he is scared

All I am saying is that it's a ridiculous for them to say that vanes is not big enough name when they are the ones that approached vanes about the fight. If he's not big enough why did they even approach top rank? My guess is this... After the initial proposal they sat back and figured it's not that easy of a fight. Maybe they watched the ouma fight a few more times and realized the ouma that vanes beat and he did beat him although by not as big of a margin as the scores indicated, was more of the ouma of old versus the more recent ouma who had lost 4 of 5. Vanes got a lot of slack forthe ouma fight but ouma admitted to us after the fight that he hadn't been better prepared and in better shape before in his career. And noone mentions te fact that the ouma fight was te 2nd in less than a month for vanes.

While I can understand what Bonilla is saying I think it's wrong not to take this fight, unless he can get to Berto. He needs to fight, he has been out to long and Vanes is a top prospect that at this point in his career, IMO, would be schooled by Quintana. Beat Vanes and your back in the mix for a shot at a top guy. No te quites INDIO! y sal de Bonilla que te ha hecho mas mal que bien.
