The only thing that Martinez will gain if he beats Pavlik is negotiating leverage against Williams because 160 is a waste land and Pavlik has lost a lot of his luster since the Hopkins fight. He'll have no choice but to try to avenge that loss to Paul Williams more than likely.

There is negotiating leverage. Williams and Sergio fought in front of 3,000 people.

Thats a fight thats easy as hell to make.

The same amout of money wont do, whe Pavlik have the lineal title plus the WBC/WBO belts to go along with the $$$$. Plus a more prestige win.


And I dont think williams offer him the same as Pavlik. Williams cant draw flies to ****.

Williams is basically ducking Pavlik with that 50/50 ultimatum. And he can get away with it because Pavlik ducked him twice. Personally, I don't think Williams wants Pavlik after what Martinez did to him.

Pavlik giving Williams 50/50 would make less sense than if Floyd gave Marquez 50/50. Who has Williams even beaten north of 147 to even deserve a shot at the undisputed MW belt?

HBO is killing boxing... Why would can't they show this fight a week before or a week after? Why show counter program against Showtime Super 6? HBO don't care about the boxing fans...

I hope Martinez smokes Kelly Pavlik like an Optimo when the fight happens. Pavlik got to the point of where he was protected almost as bad as Berto outside of the Hopkins fight. Martinez didn't really have any control over his opponents because the networks didn't even want to take notice of him until this past year.
