Xylocaine (Lidocaine) is banned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. However, fighters can take it up to one week before the fight. In addition to being banned by the NSAC, Xylocaine is also illegal in other states.

What bothers me is that Floyd is using a banned substance ON A TECHNICALITY. Just like a crook getting away with a crime simply because of a technicality.

Besides, according to an HBO documentary, floyd is known to take a numbing medicine into his hands JUST PRIOR TO A FIGHT. Not a WEEK BEFORE A FIGHT, not a DAY BEFORE A FIGHT but JUST PRIOR TO A FIGHT.
