I don't get the whole re-match clause thing either... doesn't sound like FMJ in the sense that it indicates him conceeding to a chance of losing. I mean if he wins I wouldn't see him wanting to re-match Shane who will obviously be tough for him, and I don't think most fans would have paid for a re-match of FMJ vs ODLH. IMO he only made a re-match with JLC because of all the negativity out there with so many thinking he lost that one decisevly.
So, what DOES this re-match clause mean to the fans? Just curious, not being snide.

This is SMART AND ASSURES VICTORY BUT IS HORRIBLE TO WATCH. I WISH FLOYD WOULD FLASH HIS SKILL MORE WHEN HE KNOWS HE IS THE BETTER FIGHTER AND TRY TO BEAT UP ON HIS OPPONENTS. Floyd just doesn't have that killer instinct and that is why he is not exciting to watch.
That is a great observation. He could have and should have gotten Marquez out of there but chose not to take any chances, either way defensively he is a genius and doesn't offer up many opportunities to his opponents.

I think Hatton once made the statement that when Floyd decides to close up shop, he really closes up shop meaning he doesn't give you much to work with and it slows the pace of his fights to a crawl, but at that point Floyd is just controlling pace and is still able do all the things he wants to do.

its funny how jmm pretty much beat pac , then mayweather beats jmm with the greatest of ease but then the world wants to see pac and mayweather fight, i know styles make fights and pac is a weterweight now and im a fan of niether, however its pretty safe to say manny will lose that fight, who knows, but politics and marketing it is.

ricardo wild swinging mayorga, are you serious? if you cant hit your opponet it dont matter if you hit hard enough to ko a elephant. mayorga woul be out boxed by floyd all night and i would bet my house and all my cars that floyd would not only out box and confuse ricardo but would win by late round stoppage due to the aggregate of sharp accurate punches of floyd. no way does mayorga who would be a glorified sparing partner belongs in the ring with floyd. mayorgas power wouldnt be a concern because floyd spars with lt heavies in the gym.also im betting margarito wont be the same without his granite gloves

well in truth im a fan of both and i do think floyd will out box manny and even achieve a late round stoppage due to mannies swiss cheese defense. but it is boxing and manny does have a punchers chance.

im no floyd fan but if jmm outlanded pac twice by a significant margin which he did in both fights, and floyd outlands jmm by a ridiculous margin making jmm connect by 12% then lands like 75 % of his own shots its pretty safe to say floyd is not only a defensive genious but an offensive one as well. he may not be an exciting brawler like pac is but defense alone doesnt win fights.fraud jr is the most accurate puncher in the sport jmm is more accurate than pac whom is pretty accurate himself, the only differnce is he doesnt need to throw as many shots bacause the guy simply lands everything he throws just about.that said i hope molsey ko'sthat motha****a!! molsey hits like a truck floyd has never faced a guy with that kind of punchin power.

dude mayorga kod a prime forest whom beat shane twice just because hes sloppy doesnt mean floyd or manny would win, mayorga was giving shane all kinds of issues up until the last 2 rounds sometimes the wildswingers are every bit as dangerous as the accurate ones, floyd nor pac dont have the power a forest or mosley have maybe pac does but his reach disadvatage and ****ty defense would cause him big problems against a mayorga, forest was 6ft 2! people tend to jump on the bandwagon to much if mayorga wast worthy or didnt belong he wouldnt have beat forest would he??

i think so too ,they sayfloyd is feather fisted but he isnt he does have concussive power due to speed, a stoppage of manny is very likley as manny has never been hit with that kind of speed, even if not by ko it would be a boxing lesson at the very least, win by dec.

If he tries to outbox Floyd, he may have trouble but I think he can do it. Mayweather is not unbeatable as some think, he does the same things over and over again but people don't really adapt to what he does so he wins.

I agree. Someone who can swarm him and get inside can beat him without question. Which is why you have to take the distance away from him. When he's not sitting back in the pocket pot shoting, he's not fighting his fight. The man if I'm not mistaken has had rib problems before in the past, and a fighter with speed and power who can take his shots an rip combinations to the body; can break him down much the way JLC did in there first fight. Mosely I'm not sure if the speed will be there, but if it is; he should win this fight. He has to be physical fighting with Floyd, he has to use his size and power to pin him against the ropes and **** away at the body; make Floyd fight a fight he's not comfortable fighting, and keep the pressure on him every round not give Floyd a chance to get comfortable. If Shane can do this; he'll stand a good chance of winning this fight. Which if JLC could do it, then I see know reason why Shane can't pull it off. Both JLC and Hatton gave Floyd fits when they applied this type of fight, but Hatton obviously was unable to apply his type of fight for duration of the match because of Cortez strong warnings. Which is why if he ever fought Pacquaio, he'd be in serious trouble IMO because Pacquiao has the speed, power, footwork, head/bodymovement, stamina, angels, reflexs, chin, and relentless aggression to take Mayweather's best shots and rip combinations without missing a beat. However I'll leave that alone since that's an entirely different fight in itself. Getting back to Mosely though his speed and power will definitely be a factor in this fight and a few of the keys for him having a chance at winning this fight.
