Thing is, Duran's defense is underrated on here, dude had great head movement. Leonard didn't competely fight Duran's fight, notice SRL did his all to gather some room between himself and Duran; dude simply couldn't. This was when Leonard saw he couldn't outmaneuver the smaller man, he couldn't beat him on the inside. And Leonard's foot speed is alot quicker then Mayweather's, so I can't imagine how Mayweather is gonna find that room. He isn't gonna be able to pull another Carlos Hernandez on him; stuff isn't gonna work. Everytime I think about this fantasy match up, I'm reminded of how Mayweather could work the inside but against Duran, I don't see it. Also remember, Duran isn't clean either, Mayweather will be eating punches behind the head/ below the belt; rough stuff.

Thats the main issue here, alot of people buy into the whole "SRL faught Duran's fight". Don't buy into the bull****, stuff isn't true. SRL tried his all to box when he couldn't beat Duran toe to toe, and he failed miserably.

Duran had everything. Power, accuracy, speed, footwork, combinations, heart, head movent. He partied a lot and ballooned too much. Floyd Senior knows Duran and shows him a lot of boxing love. ccduran fought guys better than floyd at their weight while floyd hasnt fought anyone better than duran imo

Boxing Scene needs to realize that fighting a brawler and fighter a boxer are two different things. A lot of fighters look awesome vs. brawlers and you throw them in against slick boxers who slip and move and they look it's their first day in the ring.

I don't think Duran would beat the **** outta Floyd but Floyd would get roughed up even if he won a close fight...Duran is a far better fighter than Castillo(although Floyd was injured...the 2nd bout was competitive as well).

I don't think Duran's ever fought any slick defensive fighters outside of Benitez...but Floyd's never fought anyone relentless like Duran...
