Do you actually know anything about the history of the sport, other than Floyd Mayweather. Reading the book,'four kings' by George Kimball might be a pretty good place to start, before you come on here chatting **** about a fighter you have purposely only watched at their worst. You love floyd, and want to do him up the gary glitter. We get it.
How in Gods name could Duran beat FLoyd.

One thing we forgot to mention is that both SRL and Duran had the one thing that PBF doesn't have anymore, which is heart.
SRL had the courage to accept a 2nd fight with Duran which already meant that he would bring that same fearlessness in the ring and make him execute his gameplan. Nerves makes you do weird things and Duran was one of the most intimidating fighters ever. I doubt PBF would have the right mindset coming into the Duran fight.Comment

I think people are forgetting Duran was not some crude slugger....he was an intelligent fighter who had a good boxing brain and was very good at cutting off the ring........this is a guy who beat Iran barkely at 160......Barkely was a huge MW...........massive.....watch him and Toney at 160....he makes james look tiny.......Comment

I did say from 130 to 135 didn't I?Come on,you cant make that assertion about Floyd at 135 as he only had 4 fights there, and one of those he lost. If you wanted to use the simpleton logic that got this thread started, then you could assert that Floyds 2 fights with Castillo were a bit like a poor mans version of Duran's 2 fights against Sugar Ray. Not saying you would, but you get the picture
My opinion is that Floyd is the most complete fighter I've ever seen at that weight.
Not to say that Duran is far behind, but Floyd looked untouchable from 130-135.
Floyd was a far better fighter before than he is now.
People accuse me of hating on Floyd, but the truth is I've seen his decline into a safety first, defensively focused style that I honestly disliked.
If Floyd was still fighting like he was back at 130-135, I'd still be a *****.Comment
