they're both unfair but ped's are on another level which is why manroid pacgwire not wanting to take random blood tests within 14 days is suspect.
unfair advantage: steroids or coming in over the agreed limit against a smaller man?

The FACT is that the INTENT to gain an unfair advantage was made. If you believe Floyd did nothing wrong, then you must be a HUGE fan of Margarito.
He was intending to fight with loaded gloves to gain an unfair advantage against Mosley. He was caught, so he didn't get the unfair advantage. But the intent was there.
Go ahead and spin this. It what you all do best anyway.Comment

Forget being a fan of Pac or Floyd for a moment. Who in their right minds thinks using steroids isn't the WORST most egrigious thing you could do in any sport.Comment

no spin, but look at it like this....
based on the CONTRACTUAL agreement, the option was always there for floyd to not make weight, and instead pay a per lb./ penalty.
let me ask you a question.
if you have an agreed upon weight for a fight, but the extra weight loss will affect you adversely, and YOU have an option (after 2 years off) to fight at the weight you've been accustomed to fighting at, what would you do?
you can't honestly say you'd drain yourself, if it'll hurt you....especially if there's a clause that gives you a way out.Comment

In a sport where a fighter can die from a punch received from an opponent, any unfair advantage deceitfully gained is egregious.Comment
