Joe Rogan Admits MMA Fighters Aren't On The Same Level as Boxers

Fast forward to 19:50 and listen to what he says.

Truth comes out, the knockout immediately after he says it kind of obscured the significance of what he said but I thought it was funny.

Any time I've heard him talk about this he's admitted it. He's a boxing fan. The reason he prefers MMA is that it encompasses more types of fighting. That's kind of why I hate MMA. Jack of all trades, master of none.

Not so. ESPN with Lou DiBella and Brian Kenny he was tearing into boxing, he DID say he was a fan but he was saying that MMA fighters are more complete fighters at the highest level of ALL aspects of fighting.

Boxing and Kickboxing are the real art of street fighting. There should always be a distance between you and the opponent. Try putting me in a submission and I'll either gouge your eyes or hit you in the groin.

I don't know why he would say that. Are you sure that's what he meant?

Any person can see the boxing skill level in MMA is ****.

He always says that, he says MMA striking is lightyears behind K-1 and Boxing. Everytime he gets a chance he says it, during live PPV broadcasts too.

the reason he prefers MMA is because it gives him another job instead of just stand up comedy

i bet you if HBO offered him the same money to do boxing, he'd take it in a heartbeat

The best weapon agaisnt someone tying to put you in a submission is to bite them. They will let go of it quicker than when they were tying to go for it.
