velazquez, larios, solis were all contenders just like pac when he fought them. Diaz was a top 5 lw and a beltholder who defeated sta. Cruz. In a way, sta. Cruz-casa was like baldomir-judah in that both won their fights against the more favored lineal champs, except that baldy got the nod while sta. Cruz got robbed.

Pac would have fought other lw beltholders had he stayed at the weight. but dlh -- and bigger money -- beckoned. Doesn't matter though, because he still fought the best even when he fought at the higher weights. Hatton, cotto, and now another top 5 welter in clottey.

Your boy has been a welter for 5 years. But has nothing to show for it except for crappy fights against b rated opponents who are either too old or too small for the weight. Mosley is the first legit welter fight he's fought in years. And you want to five him fighter of the decade for that?

The part in bold is just woulda coulda shoulda. The last couple yrs he has fought some decent figths, but this for the decade not 07 - 09!!! From 2000 - 2003, he has fought non one. 01 - 05 he has 2 draws and a lost. In 06, he fought a washed up morales twice.

who the hell is these people in Italics? From 2000 -2003, he fought nobody. And in between 2003 -2007, he had some garbage fights and this is our Fighter of the Decade?

Get over the fact that Pac is the No1 fighter of the decade.
No2 isnt neccesarily PBF.
PBF will have to fight out no2 spot with DLH and SSM and a few others.

If floyd didn't take those years off it should have been an easy pick for him but I think its part favoritism and mostly a what have you done for me lately type of thing. but I do think that the MAB II and Morales victories were very overrated and IMO not even as great as floyd beating DLH at 154...I mean think about it...but thats just me.
