can't wait for this fight! mosley is one of my favorite boxers of all time. he always makes for an exciting fight. he'll do his best to push the action but i see floyd stinkin his way to a UD in this fight. i can only hope mosley catches floyd somehow and gets a KO. floyd will just stick that sholder out all night and slip punches while throwing an occasional straight right. i can also see alot of manhuggin goin on in this fight. floyd does it, and mosley did it alot in the margarito fight. its effective but damn does it slow the fight down.

mosley is right though, mayweather wouldn't fight the guys that beat him, hell mayweather wouldn't fight most of the guys that mosley beat.

Just curious....from a style POV does anyone actually think Winky could beat Floyd??


Anyway Shanes comments are irrelevant. Floyd had one fight at 154 he fought it as a welter......he is not a 154 pounder.

Out of Cotto, Forrest, and Wright, I think Winky would have the best chance of beating Mayweather. He's too big and his style would be difficult for Mayweather. Shane really should have never fought Winky himself. I give him a lot of credit for making that fight because neither Delahoya or Margarito wanted any parts of Wright. As far as Cotto is concerened, I don't see him ever beating Mayweather under any circumstances. Forrest was never really relavent in Mayweather's career but even if he was I can't see him winning that fight.

Prime Forrest vs. Mayweather would be a pick 'em fight, IMO. His height and reach, coupled with his excellent skills and good power, would have made him a real handful for any Welterweight, and Floyd is a relatively small Welterweight. I know he lost to Mayorga but styles make fights.

I think the fact that he's not fighting them nor ever came close to it illegitimises these stories in and of itself.

The whole post-Pacquiao scramble was just a bunch of sensationalised off-the-cuff comments, time biding tactics and promotional jabs. I believe there was a brief period before Berto's withdrawal where Mayweathe really was left high and dry without a viable opponent but once one presented itself he jumped on the opportunity and the rest is history.

Again, I see no substantial basis for criticism.

Just a lil while ago there were people saying that Floyd would
duck Shane and now that he has signed to fight Shane, Mosley
is shot? What kind of Boxing fans would dim the shine of a very
good and long awaited match up like this one? I think Shane
would still kick Pacquiao's ass even at this age and stage in his
career. If Shane was truly shot then Pac would have fought
him because Roach would see an easy win and Mosley made
the most sense status wise but guess what? The fight NEVER
happened so we know how good Shane still is. After Shane
dominated Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao went on record
and said that he is not interested in fighting Shane? The best
at 147 he didn't want no part of? I'm not saying this to rag
on Pac but come on guys! Pacquiao walked away from a Mosley

You sound kind of inconsistent with your theory. I understand that there are some absolute detractors no matter what the situation is, and I agree with that. But when Floyd and Pac were in negotiation with each other I heard you say that you thought that Pac was the tougher fight than Shane. That's what I mean by sounding inconsistent. Personally myself, I think Mosley poses the bigger risk.
