Comments Thread For: Roach Breaks Downs Haye vs. Ruiz, Haye vs. Klitschkos

Freddie Roach, trainer of Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan and several others, recently spoke with Gareth Davies of The Telegraph and broke down the April 3 fight between WBA heavyweight champion David Haye and his mandatory John Ruiz. Roach sees Ruiz as being a difficult fight for Haye because of his style. He does think Haye needs to be aggressive to win. [Click Here To Read More]

It's funny that he says that because as far as I know Klitschkos do NOT consider Roach their friend.

Did Roach say Ruiz doesn't get knocked out and it would be good for Haye if he got him out of there like no one else has? LOL I guess Roach never heard of David Tua huh...poor Haye only has less than 19 seconds to impress lol

Boring doesn't equal bad. Both are very good fighters. They have been dominating the HW division for what 10 years? They can't all be bums in there and they don't seem to be cherry picking, in fact they barely have people to fight. But yeah, still boring :P

Freddie has serious problems with logic. Thats beside a fact that I never actually heard him say anything that would remotely be agenda-less.

Training one fighter to greatness doesn't make you the greatest trainer of all time. Floyd Mayweather Sr. has won as many trainer of the year awards as Roach and Mayweather Sr. is nowhere near the greatest trainer of all time.

Lets see if Haye can make good on his promise of cleaning the heavyweight division of its downtrodden.
