His victories are due to the lack of better judgement by the referees. Punch and hug is not boxing.

Cant put the blame on Ruiz if it isnt broken why fix it? Blame the refs dont hate on Ruiz he is just doing his job.
Is it Ruizs' fault that his opponents will let him hug him and punch at will? No, his opponents can lean back and shove him onto the ground but they choose not to. They even choose not to punch and Ruiz will land the more punches....
**** out of here hating on Ruiz style being effective, blame it on his opponents for not doing something.
Prime example, Rahman is an outside fighter and he chose to fight Ruiz close? Why? ask him?Comment

I blamed Rahman for allowing Ruiz to lean on him. But when the action was stymied by the clinches, the Ref took too long to break up the clinch. Excessive holding got Akinwande disqualified from his match. This is probably why L.Lewis didn't bother with Ruiz coz he knew the outcome would be either the same or Ruiz would get clocked and KO'd. No one would give Lewis credit for accomplishing an easy victory over an opponent like Ruiz. Hell, two former middleweights kicked his ass.Originally posted by spinksjinxCant put the blame on Ruiz if it isnt broken why fix it? Blame the refs dont hate on Ruiz he is just doing his job.

Because they fought on the outside, well I do believe Ruiz would have beaten Toney with his traditional style.
You stay on the outside and you beat Ruiz, you would think these so called "professionals" would know better.Comment

That's 100% right. What happened to personal accountability around here? Ruiz opponents can't adapt to Ruiz style of fighting and that's Ruiz fault? No. That's the fault of dumbass fighters who deserve to be beat because they fight his fight instead of dictating their own. Props to Ruiz if he out smarts the competition.Originally posted by spinksjinxCant put the blame on Ruiz if it isnt broken why fix it? Blame the refs dont hate on Ruiz he is just doing his job.

Read what you wrote. Two middleweights kicked his ass? Gee what does that say about the HWs who fell like trees to Ruiz chainsaw? It took two middleweights to beat Ruiz when the whole HW division failed. Lewis didn't take the fight because he was afraid he'd lose and be embarrassed. Just like he ducked Vitali rematch and retired to avoid that too.Originally posted by SnoopySmurfI blamed Rahman for allowing Ruiz to lean on him. Ruiz should never have bowed to pleasing the fans that **** on him all these years. If he fought his own fight he would have won again. Now that he's back I bet he knows this and won't make the same mistake twice.Originally posted by spinksjinxBecause they fought on the outside, well I do believe Ruiz would have beaten Toney with his traditional style.
