Pacquiao fought Cotto who BEAT SHANE. LOL some of you forget that. I love shane but WHEN HE GETS BY MAYWEATHER *WHICH i hope he does and retires his ass for good* then we could see Pacquiao vs. Shane for the NUmber 1 WW championship *if pac gets by clottey.

Pacquiao vs. Mosley would be classic. Even Mosley said he would rather fight Pacquiao than Mayweather because it will be a fight that will live up to it's hype and it will be 2 legends fighting each other. Floyd ain't a legend yet. His legacy is still in question. Well right now, Pacquiao, Mayweather and Mosley are the top 3 pound for pound fighters at the moment and Cotto is right at number 10. I believe this era is as close as we can get during the fab 4 during the 80's. Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Hagler.

when Pac and Marquez fought they weren't as popular as they are right now. If Marquez was to win his next match and fight Pac after that, i bet they would do more then a million right now. And plus more mexicans bought the fight because of the mexican Holiday it was on, and because Mexicans want to see ***** ass floyd lose. Even tho Marquez isn't big in mexican like barrera/morales, still he was the Prizefighting Mexican that day. SO MARQUEZ did bring more fans then floyd. Only common sense. Does he have a huge fan base? the answer is No. He doesn't have a big fan base where he couldn't even pack the house at the Marquez fight when it was mainly Mexicans.

since mayweather fills seats... have you looked into the reports that the fights vs marquez was not even a sell out??

lol 6 months of promoting with more that $10 million for promoting it and it still wasn't sold out. Pac vs cotto, $1-3 million for promoting and 3 months of promoting and it was a sellout.

FACTS ARE FACTS that hatton's fan base diminished greatly when he lost to mayweather. *****s cant see that pac's fan base rose greatly when he hoeslapped de la hoya and almost killed hatton. Remember, it was a punch that rocked the world as said by many writers and boxing experts. Cover of time magazine, pac/cotto hype was bigger than ever in the last 2 weeks before the fight. Then he tkoed cotto in a fight that lived up to the hype = pac's fan base is raising faster than ever.

This is so true. I met the author of the article. He was sitting right behind me with Vargas and Roger. Vargas told me that he didn't know who would win though. He said Mosley is smarter than you think. He probably changed his mind thinking more about it. He told me that Pac vs Floyd was still on his mind. Vargas seemed happy about the Floyd vs Mosley fight though.
