The reason why he wants to fight marquez is because he is a fighter who fought mayweather and wants to see how he fares against marquez compared to mayweather and after that he wants to fight zab judah(another previous mayweather opponent.)So his ultimate goal is in fighting mayweather.just like how mayweather purposely chose marquez as he showed the world that he can do a better job than pacquiao.

That's how I see it too.

I expect Khan to look great early and start getting overconfident by the mid rounds.

Once JMM lands a solid counterpunch it will make Amir change up and start fighting negatively. Khan's best defense is a great offense and JMM counterpunching will make him afraid to attack which will give JMM more than enough chances to close down the distance and rough Khan up.

I kinda expect it to be like the Chambers-Dimitrenko fight with the smaller man slowly but surely breaking down the defense of a bigger and stronger opponent. Only difference here is that Khan will be knocked out by the same kind of clean punching that only hurt Dimitrenko.

JMM is a little bigger than Barrera first of all. Secondly Barrera was washed up well before he faced Khan. There is no proof that Marquez is washed up like that. Barrera was basically done in 2006 when he struggled to a split decision against Rocky Juarez, a guy he would have shut out in his prime. His fight with Khan was a full 3 years after that....
