There's no question Floyd has fast hands. I wish for the old Floyd with those blistering combos instead of the quick one or two shot, potshotting.

It was a thing of beauty when he'd sit in the pocket and fire off six before moving away.

He's still got it it seems, he just doesn't do it very much anymore.

And Gamboa has very fast hands, fastest I've seen in a long time.

Like Roy Jones Jr prime fast almost if there can be such a thing.

There are a lot of fast fighters. Someone said Floyd @ 130lbs, what about Pac @130lbs?

      At least I posted proof.

Letme also add, how many fighters have trapped their opponent with their speed? Pac got Oscar and Cotto in the corner and RIPPED into them with his speed. Not just pitty pat shots or for show. He literally tore into them with bad intentions. Not many people use speed to kill you like Pac does.

I do want to give honorable mention to Gamboa though. I saw him fight live at MSG last fight and damn, I thought I was going blind. I couldn't see 80% of the punches he threw, only saw the dude getting rocked left and right.

You act like those versions of Cotto & Oscar were fast. There is no way that a SFW Pac is faster than a SFW Floyd

Well, you can't prove that, and really neither can I. But they both have had lots of flash knockdowns at those weights from their speed so we can safely? assume they are equal? Yes Cotto and Oscar weren't fast, but at the time he unloaded in them with that speed, it was more than halfway, and they were already beaten to crap prior. The fact that he maintains his speed still late has to count for something? And above all, he uses it to out do his opponents size advantages.

People always use Mayweather's fight against Gatti to highlight how fast and how impressive his combinations are,but my favourite Mayweather fight is the one he had against Phillip Ndou.Even those who don't find Mayweather to be a particularly exciting fighter to watch couldn't possibly not enjoy that.

This and let me repeat again for the second time, " the lowest division should always be the fastest". That's physics for y'all.

That's why I didn't agree with Dawson being the fastest. It's also why the lower weights have a shorter lifespan so to speak than the heavier weights. They need to maintain those killer reflects and timing or there done. Heavies can be fighting well past 35. Infact 35-38 might be considered a heavies prime years lol.

Out of the group, I'd say Gamboa.

Zab Judah has faster hands than Mayweather.

they have smaller arms and hands so with proportional muscle mass they should have force that will make them punch faster. Now about those lifespan, I haven't really think about the reason why but I agree that heavy weight fighters have longer boxing lifespan.
