I can only think of one fight that rivals Corrales/Castillo.

And that's Frank Lyle vs George Foreman. There was not one boring round here, despite the two bohemoths and their questionable stamina. Their punches were of collossal magnitude. Both went down.

But I still like Castillo/Corrales fight better.

Anyone have a better fight than Castillo/Corrales?

hagler-hearns, but it was more a case of the 1st round being the best round ever, and the remaining not on the same level

hagler/hearns was a better fight than castillo /corrales.

while there was lots of action in castillo/corrales, and lots of punches landing, and a great ending...it still doesn't live up to the power of the punches, or the tempo of the fight, that hagler/hearns did

i think castillo/corrales is more entertaining over a period of time but, hagler/hearns was the best first round in boxing, ever.

It was a great fight but there were many better fights than castillo corralles. What about Hagler Hearns or any of the Ward-Gatti fights.

            Ron? damn! Sorry!

I have the Hagler/Hearns fight. Remember, this thread is what YOU think is better. I'm not here to debate. I respect all your opinions.....even though mine is right. <-- notice the wink.

The second Gatti-Ward fight was one-sided (though still a good fight).
The third was a war, but nowhere in Corrales-Castillo's league.

The first one ? A classic...BUT.....Gatti & Ward are not as good as Corrales or Castillo....their fight was not nearly as important.....DID NOT have more action.....& DID NOT have the FINISH that Chico-JLC did..

Was Corrales vs. Castillo really that great? I better find way to see this fight.

                  Y-E-S !

I have been following boxing, like a nut, since '81....& this fight is as brutal & astonishing as any I've ever seen.

From start to finish.....you couldn't ask for much more action.....but then the finish is like something you'll never see.

I was wondering if anybody else saw James Toney and Winky Wright signaling to Corrales to keep hitting Castillo in that brutal 10th round. After it was stopped, both of them were going absolutely nuts.
