Bute should fight Stieglitz and unify the titles.

But Ross Greenburg doesn't seem to like European fighters, so it's not going to happen.

Stieglitz wont come here, plus he got his ass handed to him from Andrade. Miranda should go there first and pick up the belt, then fight Bute. But the Germans seems to be very happy that the original fight had to be canceled and havent jumped at the chance to make it happen again.

Brinkley against Bute would be an absolute mismatch and joke. The dude got KO'd by Spina for God's sake. At least we know Miranda went toe to toe with Abraham the first time, put up an exciting war against Pavlik, and looked much better against Andre Ward than Kessler did.

Miranda fighting Bute would be an exciting fight that could change at any moment with Miranda's power. Now with Goossen in his corner he has new tools that have yet to be seen. Miranda COULD beat Bute. Brinkley doesn't have any chance.

How can you blame Stieglitz for Miranda bitching out of the fight?

Lots of boxers fight despite having a cold. Povetkin had a bad cold when he defeated Chambers.

Amusingly, I'm pretty certain Brinkley could take Miranda at this point. For all his power, Miranda has little technique, Brinkley has a good chin and far better boxing skills. He would just beat Miranda to the punch repeatedly with the shorter, straighter punches, and Miranda is there to be hit the entire fight. I also think, while neither guy really deserves a title shot, Brinkley has the better case with the high profile exciting win he just got coupled with his winning streak in general. Boxing is all about what have you done for me lately and Miranda hasn't beaten anyone of note since Allan Green two years ago. However, you are right in that Brinkley doesn't have any chance against Bute, while Miranda does, simply due to said power. Brinkley can't outbox Bute and doesn't have enough power to pressure him effectively. Miranda's chances are ridiculously slim though.

I like Brinkley o.k. but don't see him standing a chance with Bute, Miranda is a tough guy but not tougher than Andrade IMO. I don't see why Bute and Pavlik couldn't fight each other instead of TBA for each while waiting for the super six winner ?

He has no power and has not fought a live body in forever. The last fight this past weekend was against a 5'7" SMW with arms like a JWW. They kept saying that the kid from Brownsville never run never will had power to KO but he was only throwing a left hook which Brinkley kept leaning forward anf having it pass behind his head. Bute by KO over Brinkley and Miranda to me right now is the tougher fight but Bute will win that be easy UD.
Bute is WAY too slick for miranda, that is the mismatch,
at least brinkly can box a bit, and he was easily winning the spina fight when he got his ribs broken.
i like miranda, but he doesnt have the boxing skills,

Idiot. Andrade wasn't granted a rematch, he earned it. He was mandatory challenger both times.

Why do you think this is a doubleheader ??? There're building Pavlik-Bute up...

I have no idea why Miranda is considered for the second time to get a shot at a belt. What has he done to get those opportunities ? He got ko'ed by Arthur and embarrassed silly by Ward, then beat a club fighter. I mean come on (like Mills Lane would say it ). I hope Bute ends up fighting the undefeated dude they're referring to in the article (not Brinkley). Bute has already beaten Bika decisively, and Stieglitz, well, that could be interesting. I hope they come up with a good challenger, because Bute is just getting better and better. The Brinkleys of this world will have a short night.
