Shane is a pro and he is probably best served by long layoffs at his age, Mayweather is in for a fight with this man.

So stop bringing up Cotto and the catchweight at 145.

Cotto said he felt that it was no problem.

Mosley says that it's no problem.

We're all on the same page.

I mean, the man said that he was not even training for Berto, he was looking past him, he said that he was training for May or Pac.

A year and half layoff for a 38 year old is NOT a good thing.

Shane should have followed up with another bout after he beat Tony. But those are his words, and its clear that he was not even training for Berto, he said he was getting ready for Mayweather or Manny. He said that he will be ready, so its no excuses from either guy .

I dont believe there should be any excuses either. I do feel that Mayweather dominates Mosley pretty easily tho. Prime for Prime at 135 I think Mosley would get him, but I'm not sure Mosley ever would have beat him at 147 let alone a near 40yr old Mosley. Its a great fight and I take nothing away from Floyd I just don't see Mosley landing very often.

really what is he going to say i feel old and i will have ring rust when i step in the ring? champions like mosley and m cotto are always going to feel ready and confident regardless of circumstances surrounding a fight regardless of that mosley is 38 years old and will be coming of over a 1 year layoff now that might be offset by the fact that he is a gym rat and was training for a berto fight and also mayweather hasnt been the most active fighter himslef. the question about mosley being out of the ring for as long as he has is a legit one no matter how you want to slice it.
