If this is true, that is the smartest move Don King has made in a long time.

20 years from now people will recognize Ruiz's contributions to the sport. Don't rule out a comeback either. Great fighters never truly give up the sport after a belt is stolen from them.

Don King abandons EVERY champ that loses the title, why will Ruiz be special?

It would be so hillarios and at the same time a disgrace to boxing if Ruiz actually came out of retiremement and unified the belts due to his "innovative use of grappling tactics."

With the way the heavyweight division is now its not an impossiblity.

Your username is The Pretender, so are you just pretending to be a Ruiz fan? If not, and you really believe Ruiz was robbed that scares me. LOL

Because there isn't another fighter with the heart of Ruiz. He doesn't need Don King. He can pull off what Holyfield never could.

ROY JONES: one time HW champ. No defenses.
JOHN RUIZ: two time HW champ. 4 defenses.

                  Winner?

I suspaect the pretender is someone who posts frequently on the boards under their original name. Someone who...doesn`t like Ruiz and wants to have a laugh. So....a Ruiz hater with a sense of humour???
                    Anorak comes to mind...
