If you really think Bradley was more of a threat than Cotto you need to be locked up in a secure ward. And Campbell was never the top contender in the same division that Pac was fighting in, while Pac was fighting in that division. No one ever called for a Pac-Campbell fight. You're just trying to rewrite history.

No they didn't. You must have been living on Mars at the time if you believe that. It's true that they didn't expect it to be as one-sided as it was, but most people thought it would be an easy night for Floyd.
Marquez had looked physically out of his depth even at Lightweight. He'd managed to beat two fighters because of his skills but he was physically dominated even at 135, and was clearly a lot slower at 135 than he had been at 130. It was obvious that he didn't belong in a Welterweight fight.Last edited by Dave Rado; 01-31-2010, 01:45 AM.Comment

He said that because he didn't want to get in the way of DLH, who wanted to fight Floyd first. But once the DLH-Mayweather fight was over he started calling Floyd out.hey mr im published, dont take my word for it. rich schaf stated shane didnt want the floyd fight. his own busness ass. on paper outed him. also i read an article in ring magazine where shane said he would need "a few more fights before taking on floyd. so dont put this on dlh.Last edited by Dave Rado; 01-31-2010, 01:46 AM.Comment

No one called for a Pac-David Diaz fight. Instead of this fight at Lighweight, fight fans would have preferred Pac-Campbell or Pac-Casamayor.If you really think Bradley was more of a threat than Cotto you need to be locked up in a secure ward. I agree that you cannot substitute a carreer of activity for recent rounds and being fresh, however I think that saying flloyd is more active than shane as of recently is an over statement just because he fought JMM and dominated him does not mean that he isn't gonna be rusty against SSM. Foolish to compare lebron and jordan, because in this case both fighters are active just not as active as I would like for a fight of this magnitude. Three year hiatus and a jog in the ring with JMM is not exactly full competition or getting flloyds best fight... I think both fighters are smart enough to come up with game plans... I am more interested in seeing how this fight unravels in the latter rounds, because floyds defense wont help him if he gets cut or hurt early. Shane is too smart for the defensive strategy if he gets to floyd early. By the way I still got Who's more prime time right now kobe or lebron... Personally I'd take Kobe in a 1 on 1, but i guess in this analogy not scoring as many points per game means your less active in your carreer right? Thats a better analogy for this floyd vs. Shane fight.Rounds are not stored in some bank kiddo. You can not withdraw them when you need them. Mayweather recently fought Marquez. He's been active. Mosley hasn't fought since Margarito. Being rusty has nothing to do with total activity, but how recently that activity has taken place. Jordan has hooped more than LeBron over his career, does that mean he could go back to the NBA and ball on everyone?! NO! A tuneup is not a lot to ask. Who wants to see another lopsided fight? I want Mosley to have a tuneup so I don't have to see a rusty Mosley in the ring. Then what?Comment

Oh... also at shanes age, no fight is a tune up fight. We will be lucky to see him fight again if he loses.Comment
