is shane mosley better now then 2 years ago

my question to boxing scene is has shane mosley all of a sudden become a better fighter then he was 2years ago? i find it funny how when m cotto fought sugar shane and defeated him the majority of boxing fans and floyd mayweather fans were so quick to point out his age and the fact that he had seen better days so did he become a better fighter with age or did ****m richardson make that much of a difference or is it because we as fans of certain fighters sometimes subconsciously feel the need to discredit another fighters opponents and resume to make our fave fighter look better?

A combination of Richardson and the savage beating Mosley gave to Margarito is what swayed many minds to their reasoning in Shane at this moment.

Personally, I always thought Shane was a bad ass long before his win over Margarito and before his hookup with Richardson.

He is older and he is also more inactive now then what he was two years ago... People on here can take it however they wanted but that is the truth...

I think his power, chin is the same... I think the speed the same or a tad bit slower if any...

However, I think he is a better. In a sense that I think he is smarter now, more prepared, and has a better trainer...

Yes. I think he has improved under ****m.

He's fighting a more cerebral type fight.

Instead of trying to get by on his physical gifts.

In the Cotto fight he seemed to be trying to get past Cotto with one punch at a time.

As oppose to the Margo fight where he was firing off combo's and using an effective jab.

Part of that was the style he was up against and part of it was ****m's game plan

I'm sure ****m was a beneficial addition to Mosley's game, but boxing fans seem to be fickle. One bad performance and he's done, one good performance and he's 3rd best p4p. I don't think Shane is better as a fighter than he was 2 years ago, but probably has a better corner.

You are on point, but the boxing media has a role in this as well. This is a boxing era where being undefeated is to be worshiped and losing fight demands questions to how good a fighter was initially and that’s a shame because all fighters lose at some point (Marciano the exception).

Fans contribute by throwing words around like “overrated” and then it creates a snowball effect of doubt.

Hell No.I think people are overrating Mosley now Just because of what he did to the face first zero defense Maragrito.
He is old ,inactive, and he's having a hard time making 147
                Hegot outboxed by Cotto.
Even Ricardo Mayorga made Mosley look bad.

Shane is the #1 WW and P4P #3 in the World.
