I would also like to add:

That Wright was robbed against Vargas. He won the fight decisevly in my opinion...and should only have 1 legitimate loss on his record. That was against Julio Cesar Vasquez.

I forgot about the Harry Simon Robbery. That was also a close fight that could have gone either way. My bad.

I just want to add a Larry Merchant quote about Floyd Mayweather Jr "Floyd did not want to fight in LA or New York, I guess he did New York and LA a favor" while everybody was booing him while he fighting Castillo in his ***** boring conservative style.

He just has natural ability and a conservative fighting style more than smartness.

He has has the same weakness as Roy Jones Jr. get him against the ropes, and let him try to dodge your punches with his head and aim for his chest you can KO him.
You are wrong about that mcKay. He does not throw 1 punch at a time. He waits for a weakness...and then throws combinations. To compare his style with RJJ is completely not true. RJJ is a 1 punch counterpuncher like Casamayor is....

Mayweather is a counter attacker like JMM is.

His style is very similar to Roy Jones Jr and they have similar pysical attributes and both probably learned that style in the amateures. They keep their hands way out in front of their legs, and stay way at distance and probe in straight punches 1 to 3 at a time. Against weak opponents they sometimes open up, but never against anybody of stature, watch Castillo vs Mayweather or Hopkins vs Jones.

You are only basing that on the fight with JLC. What you said right there....is an example of his brilliance. Why in the hell would he stand toe to toe with him? makes no sense.

Watch his fights with Bruseles, Ndou, Burton, Hernandez, Corrales, Corley etc.....you will know what I am talking about. He unloads on them in quick flurries with left hooks....and very compact rights.

We are talking about smarts.....not blood and guts.

He traded with Burton only because Burton pressed the action and had no power that Floyd was worried about. Burton is a great fighter, very entertaining and skilled but he is not top teir, Floyd did not respect him. Burton's problem is he lacks pop in his punches so Floyd felt fine to open it up with him.

I give Mayweathe credit because as of recently he has an attempt to change his style to be less conservative and more crowd pleasing hopefully he continues that way.

However Gatti will KO him, he will get him against the ropes and aim for the chest and catch Floyd hard and drop him. Plus Gatti's bodyshots will get to Floyd no matter what he does, and Floyd has never tasted the kind of bodyshot that Gatti can dish out.

                    .
The fact of the matter is:

You think Gatti is a smart fighter because he is crowd pleasing.

I never said Gatti is one of the smartest fighters in boxing but he is not ****** either. Gatti is a little bit punch drunk but Floyd Mayweather has never been in there with a guy that has the punching power of Gatti or the mentality of Gatti, and Gatti is a crafty veteran who takes on all chalenges. Gatti's power is way superior to Floyd's and he will hurt Floyd to the body. Micky Ward taught Gatti how to throw the left hook to the body and its gonna find its place on floyd he will go down, or at least slow him down and draw him into Gatti's type of fight.
