Apparently “Pacquiao dished out a beating to Brooks” claimed Freddie Roach and on the surface it appeared as if Manny Pacquiao had just destroyed a top prospect or legitimate contender. But waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttt a minute boys & girls, if you actually look through the “SMOKE SCREENS” blown out by Team Pacquiao, you will see that Bryan Brooks is no more than an 0-6-1 fighter who has been knocked out twice in his minimal career by 2 fighters who were fighting in their pro debuts.

On top of all that, Brooks hasn’t fought in 5 years. His last fight was in 2005 in which he fought to a draw.

Wait it gets better, Brooks was born in September of 1970. Now I am no Calculus Major, but if my math serves me correctly, Brooks should be 39 years of age quickly approaching the tender age of 40.

Why would Freddie Roach release statements to the media about Manny beating up a sparring partner of this caliber? Is this really news?

Wow! I thought you'd be above this type of hatin Easy Work. Does it really matter who Manny beats up on as a sparring partner, it is a sparring partner after all, you suppose to beat up on them. How about this instead, Manny kept up with Shawn Porter and gave him a good practice, is that impressive for you, or would you say that Porter is inexperience and is too young. My point is it wouldn't really matter to you who Manny would look good in training because you would probably just discredit him anyway, and it shouldn't really matter either what Roach says, that's Roach's job, he supposed to make Manny look good or better during training. And more importantly, it really doesn't matter how good Manny looks during training, because that's not who Manny is going to be fighting.

You are grasping at straws, scraping the bottom of the barrell for any emotional win you can get in against pac. Brooks was used for a starting warm up point for pac to get his feet wet again. Roach goes through about 4-5 sparring partners for every pac fight then chooses 2 or 3 guys who give Pac the best work. Pac has sparred with top rated lightweight contenders like urbano antillon & blue chip prospect jorge linares.
